Yet the words 'East 17' appear to mean nothing to Nicole Scherzinger as she admitted she had never heard the song before X Factor hopeful's 5 After Midnight performed it on Saturday's semi-final.

The 38-year-old show judge revealed she was left confused by the nineties classic's lyrics, admitting she thought the trio were hilariously singing about a 'steak house' not 'stay now'.

Thankfully being corrected by her fellow judge Sharon Osbourne, the former Pussycat Doll still managed to belt out a few notes of her new song 'steak house' to a confused looking 5 After Midnight.

Getting a chuckle out of the whole situation, presenter Dermot O'Leary asked the boyband if they could sing their new tune as well as the American beauty.
