Gwen Stefani finally confirms her pregnancy... with a well-placed hand on her shimmering fringed gown to show off her 'baby bump'

Gwen Stefani has so far not commented on reports she is expecting her third child.

But on Thursday night she confirmed her baby joy with a well-placed hand to reveal quite a sizeable baby bump after months of keeping mum.

The 44-year-old singer and has finally confirmed her pregnancy as she attended an event with husband Gavin Rossdale at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala on Thursday evening.

The star wore a stunning grey metallic fringed gown which she twirled around on the red carpet with, obviously in a buoyant mood.

Her platinum blonde hair was put up in a twisted bun and she teamed the halternecked gown  with her trademark red lipstick and a boxy silver clutch.

Accompanied by her husband Gavin Rossdale who looked smart in a black tuxedo by Ferragamo Gwen looked in good spirits as they made their way into the event in Beverly Hills.

The couple are already parents to two sons - seven-year-old Kingston and Zuma, five.

Pregnancy rumours have been swirling around the couple, who have been married since 2002, for months with the star doing her best to hide any sign of a bump with a series of clever outfits.

Speculation heightened in August when Gwen, Gavin and their two boys were holidaying in the South of France.

The couple were said to have been overheard discussing the blonde bombshell’s pregnancy.

Not long after, Gwen’s friend and collaborator, Eve, accidentally confirmed that the singer was expecting when probed, during an interview with Live Nation, on whether Gwen would be performing with her at an upcoming New York event.

The rapper blurted out: 'She's preggers...She's preggers,’ before hastily adding 'I think she's chilling.’

Gwen recently insisted in Marie Claire’s October issue that whilst she experienced broodiness a couple of years ago, she’s more than content with her family:

‘I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn't really work out,’ the star confessed without going into specifics.

‘So ... I feel good with what we've got. Everything works out how it should. You can't plan anything, right? You can try.’


Gwen and Gavin rubbed shoulders with a slew of stars at Thursday night's event, including Demi Moore, Charlize Theron Nicole Richie, Amy Adams and Alessandra Ambrosio.

Gavin sat next to Demi over dinner and the pair were spotted having a chat, while Gwen caught up with fellow fashion designer Nicole Richie who looked stunning in floaty patterned gown which she wore over black underwear.

The event was hosted by Wallis Annenberg and took place at the 2.5 acre new centre which has partly been renovated from an old Beverly Hills Post Office.

The star-studded evening - presented by fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo - highlighted a series of opening events at the new centre including a dedication ceremony, community open house event and exclusive showing of Ferragamo's Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

'From the start, we wanted our new center for the performing arts to be a celebration of great and innovative architecture,' said philanthropist Wallis Annenberg.

The stars ensured they pulled out all the fashion stops for the event, glittering in an array of stunning gowns.

Charlize cut a striking figure in a slinky black number teamed with bright gold shoulder design while Demi Moore looked stunning in a sleeveless navy blue semi-sparking floor length gown.

The 50-year-old actress wore her long dark hair loose over her back and teamed the dress with subtle silver jewellery and a rectangular clutch bag.

Amy Adams also plumped for navy blue with sheer detail and beaded embellishments, while model Alessandra Ambrosio looked stunning in a bright red plunging gown.

Many stars wore Ferragamo in honour of the Italian designer with Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto arriving in a baby pink sequinned dress with backless detail, teamed with Cartier earrings.

She co-ordinated with her long term boyfriend Dev Patel, who wore a striking maroon suit and matching tie.

Purple was a favoured colour with many of the stars with Dita Von Teese showing off her unique sense of style in a long sleeved floral gown by Carolina Herrera NY, featuring beaded shoulders and belt.

Courtney Cox looked slightly less style savvy in a rather baggy looking knee length number with black belt and strappy heels.

Jodie Foster meanwhile, ensured she contrasted to the elaborate frocks in a chrome coloured suit jacket over black trousers.

Josh Duhamel was also in attendance and appeared to have left wife Fergie at home looking after their new baby boy - Axl.

The stars headed inside to see John Lithigow and Kevin Spacey take the stage for short performances along with Diane Lane who looked glamorous in a bright silver gown.

Kevin sat next to Charlize Theron who at one point appeared to be showing him photographs via her cell phone.
