Wife of the year! Kim Kardashian 'still loves Kanye and will not leave him' as rapper recovers from mental breakdown at their home

There were claims Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kanye West was on the rocks and that she asked for a 'break' from the rapper before she headed to New York City in November for her rumoured comeback appearance.

But a source told E! - the network that airs Keeping Up With The Kardashians - that the 36-year-old reality queen has no plans to leave the father of her two children.

'She wants to get Kanye back on his feet. She is not leaving him. She loves him,' a friend claimed.

The insider added: 'Kim wants him to continue getting therapy even after all of this. He has support from so many people.'

'Kim is doing okay despite reports. She has many things on her plate so being overwhelmed is expected.'

The family is staying at their Bel-Air home with their kids North and Saint, who turns one on Monday.

A source has told DailyMail.com exclusively, 'He's happy to be home with his family,. He's doing well. He spends his days resting.'

Home is the couple's sprawling Bel-Air mansion they purchased in 2013 for $11m and had renovated twice. The residence is 14,000 square feet and has a gym inside. Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Michelle Gellar are neighbors.

The Stronger hit maker was released from the hospital on Wednesday where he had spent 10 days after suffering his breakdown.

It is believed the children, North and Saint, are still with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star as she tends to the chart topper.

Their son Saint turns one-year-old on Monday and a small party will likely be thrown at either Kim's house in Bel-Air or her mother Kris Jenner's mansion in Hidden Hills.

Kim and Kanye's other home, the $20m Hidden Hills estate, is still under renovation.

On Saturday TMZ reported the singer suffered a breakdown because he was not taking the proper medication for pyschological issues he has long battled.

It was claimed the Pablo singer either stopped taking his medication or was not taking the correct amount.

The family has yet to confirm that report.

It was added that Kanye became troubled after Kim had been held at gunpoint during an October 3 robbery in Paris, where she was left bound and gagged in a bathroom.

Instead of leaning on his spouse, West had to deal with the pressure of his Life Of Pablo tour on his own and that allegedly led to his breakdown.

A source told People that Kim was now 'really stressed out'.

It was added: 'Everyone is trying to pitch in and help her out to relieve some of that and everything she’s going through.'

The revelation comes the same day a 25ft Christmas tree was delivered to the Bel-Air home they normally share. 

The day he was released the family held a mini celebration there, for his return as well as a pre-celebration for youngest son Saint who turns one on Monday.
