And even though she admitted she was fighting the 'freeeezing' weather in London, Kate Beckinsale looked simply stunning as she hit the British Fashion Awards on Monday night.

The Brit beauty worked a designer suit as she rubbed shoulders with the world's top models at the Royal Albert Hall.

Kate, 43, chose a chic black suit from Ralph Lauren for the A-list fashion bash, which highlighted her trim figure.

She went shirtless under the fitted blazer to flash some skin, while accessorising with a statement buckled choker adorned with pearls.

A pair of classic black pumps completed her ensemble, while she styled her long brunette locks into a backcombed high ponytail.

Kate gave a shout out to her suit's designer on Instagram, explaining her choice to ditch the dress was mainly due to her home country's chilly weather.

'Fun at @thebritishfashionawards .. Congratulations to @ralphlauren for his Outstanding Achievement Award and also for outstandingly achieving a long trouser and jacket for me because London is FREEEEEEZING,' she wrote.

Meanwhile US model Gigi Hadid was named International Model of the Year at the prizegiving.

It was a huge night for Gigi, as she took to the stage to receive the top prize, putting her in fashion history alongside the likes of Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner.
