As a TV star with a transatlantic lifestyle, Hilary Duff has a packed schedule.

But the Younger star took a break from her life as an actress to chaperone her son's school trip on Monday.

The actress looked happy and relaxed as she chatted with fellow moms as their children explored a fire station in Studio City, California.

The actor, singer, author and fashion designer wore a comfy, off-the-shoulder sweater, jeans, and fuzzy slide-on loafers as she carried an over-sized, taupe bag with a gold chain strap and strolled around the site.

She sipped on a coffee, while keeping an eye on her son and his friends.

It was confirmed last week that the multi-talented mom split with trainer boyfriend, Jason Walsh.

Reportedly, the trainer wanted to move to New York but the star wanted to remain in Los Angeles.

Otherwise, things have been going reasonably well for the 29-year-old mom, whose divorce from ex Mike Comrie was finalized in January.

After paying nearly $2.5 million to her wealthy ex-husband in their divorce settlement, she has kept the home they once shared.

The exes were seen Sunday enjoying a morning Starbucks run with their 4-year-old son in LA.
