Down to four! Blake Shelton shows hopefuls how it's done on The Voice as finalists set for season 11 of NBC show

Blake Shelton left his coach's chair on The Voice on Tuesday to perform his new single as the field was narrowed from eight semifinalists to the final four.

The season 11 finalists were set as Billy Gilman, Wé McDonald, Sundance Head and Josh Gallagher advanced.

They will battle it out in the finals next week for the top spot.

Billy, who earned the number one spot on iTunes with his Monday night performance, was the first contestant through, while Josh won a Twitter vote to claim the final spot.

That meant the end of the road for Christian Cuevas, Ali Caldwell, Brendan Fletcher and Aaron Gibson who were voted off the hit NBC singing competition show.

Blake, 40, kicked off the show by telling host Carson Daly that he had high hopes for his only remaining contestant Sundance Head.

'He has laid out his path on his own, the guy has made his point, he has proven that he deserves to be somebody who is on the radio and who sells a lot of records,' said Blake.

Miley Cyrus, 24, said that she was honored to have two singers who had 'one in a bazillion' level talent.

Adam Levine said he was 'a psychic and a psycho' and had tried to do his best for the three remaining contestants on his team.
