She isn't letting pregnancy stop her from taking to the stage this festive season.

And Amy Childs sparkled from head to toe as she posed in her costume backstage at St Helens' Theatre Royal on Wednesday before taking to the stage for the production of Aladdin.

The former TOWIE star, whose cousin Harry Derbridge also appears in the panto, later swapped her elaborate costume for a chic grey dress as she the cast celebrated the press night for their show.

Amy, who is expecting her first child in May, plays the Slave of the Ring in the pantomime while Harry is PC Noddle.

Amy's role sees her dressed in a pair of scarlet harem pants, teamed with a glittering bustier top and huge diamante headdress.

The mum-to-be was no doubt happy to swap the over-the-top costume for something a little comfier after her performance, as she shared her post-show outfit on Instagram.

Her bump was clearly on show in her grey bandage dress, which she layered under a pale pink coat and heels.

Amy previously insisted she's delighted to be working hard over Christmas while pregnant, writing in a post on Instagram: 'It's been a hard two weeks of rehearsals, but… we start panto at the Theatre Royal St Helens for Aladdin…'

'I couldn't be more happier doing this and being pregnant at the same time!… Can't wait to start a first show…'

Amy was every inch the excited mother-to-be as she posted a sweet snap of her blossoming baby bump on Instagram on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old and her boyfriend Bradley Wright proudly cradled her bare tummy with both hands in the cute photo.

Amy captioned the adorable photo: 'Goodnight. Cuddles with my love and bump #19weeks #bump'.

Amy and Bradley, who met in a pub in Essex two years ago, had been trying for a baby for some time before their efforts were put on hold when Bradley was sentenced to 16 months in prison for handling stolen goods.

However the jailbird, who is already father to daughter Lexi from a previous relationship, only served five months of his sentence as he was released early for good behaviour leading to their eventual reunion.

'We'd been together for nine months and I came off the pill in the summer and I thought it might take me ages. I was taking folic acid but it didn't happen. I was really panicking.

'I went online to find out why and it was the worst thing I could have done. I got so stressed out about it that I was drinking. Brad told me off for it but I couldn't help it.'

Amy, who soared to fame in TOWIE's 2010 inauguration, spoke of their desperation to start a family as she said: 'We wanted kids together soon after we met.

'I love kids, especially because Bradley has Lexi, and spending time with her made me want a baby more. I have a big family so I love having my nieces and nephews around.'

Amy, who is set to welcome her baby to the world in May, tells the magazine: 'We've wanted a baby for so long, so we're happier than we've ever been. We were both so shocked, so emotional and so happy at the same time.'

Delighted Bradley, 25 added: 'I'm so excited, I can't wait until the baby is born.'
