The previous evening she had been lighting up the red carpet at the most hyped premiere of the year.

But Jaime King looked like she was relieved to be back on mummy duty as she enjoyed a play date with her children in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

The blonde beauty even took the chance to indulge in her love of slides as she went down a chute with her boys, before having a go solo.

The 37-year-old model and actress opted for a utilitarian look of black pullover, woollen jacket, jeans and trainers so she could concentrate on playing with sons James, three, and 16-month-old Leo.

She was joined on the excursion by her Fanboys director husband Kyle Newman, 40, who looked like he was savouring every single moment of his family day.

It was certainly a world away from the stylistic mode Jaime, who starred in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series from 2009 to 2014, adopted for the Rogue One premiere in Hollywood on Saturday.

The model looked great for her age in a shimmering gold and black strapless number as she plodded down the red carpet.

In a brief video clip the former heroin addict shared on Instagram, she twirled her dress in front of a poster depicting a Storm Trooper dashing through a body of water.

Her caption, which was suitably in all caps, read 'IT IS #starwars #rogueone TIME!'

In the movie Felicity Jones plays a character handpicked by The Rebellion to steal the plans to the very first Death Star, long before it became a franchise cliche.

The Gareth Edwards-directed film co-stars Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Alan Tudyk, Ben Mendelsohn and Mads Mikkelsen.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to hit theatres on December 16.
