'There was an announcement I might star in this movie playing - I wont say the name, but it rhymes with Shmarbie,' she said, noting that it's not her first rodeo when it comes to handling online strangers with mean-spirited, hateful messages.
'A bunch of times throughout my career, people have been like, "You’re too fat," or just, I’ve been, you know, bullied,' the Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo author said. 'And what’s cool is, from being in the public eye for this long, is ... first of all, you build up a thicker skin from it and then you’re like, "Wait a minute - no! I look in the mirror and I know who I am and I feel beautiful and I feel strong and sexy.
'And it doesn’t matter,' she said, receiving a rousing ovation from the audience.

Strong: Schumer refuses to let bitter commentators toiling in digital anonymity ruin her day
'I am strong and proud of how I live my life and say what I mean and fight for what I believe in and I have a blast doing it with the people I love,' she said. 'I'm a great friend, sister, daughter and girlfriend.
'I'm a badass comic headlining arenas all over the world and making TV and movies and writing books where I lay it all out there and I'm fearless like you can be.'
In the emotional message, Schumer vowed to fight bullies and encouraged her followers to reject their message as well.
Another reason to be happy: Schumer told Ellen she and boyfriend Ben Hanisch recently celebrated their one-year anniversary
'They can scream as loud as they want,' she said. 'We can't hear them because we are getting s--- done. I am proud to lead by example.'
Schumer told Ellen that the obsession and scrutiny towards a woman's physical appearance 'never stops,' and it's critical women find comfort in their own skin.
'For women of all ages there’s no one too young or too old to understand,' she said. 'It really has to be about knowing who you are. And like everyday I look in the mirror and I’m like, “I can work with this b----.”'
