'We want our own show!' Vanderpump Rules couple Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix want their own travel series after rival co-stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright score spin-off

Vanderpump Rules is preparing to launch its first spin-off with reformed bad boy Jax Taylor and his Kentucky-born girlfriend Brittany Cartwright.

And now Jax's on-again/off-again best friend Tom Sandoval and his girlfriend Ariana Madix are hoping to follow Jax's lead by landing a spin-off of their own.

'We definitely want our own show,' Ariana told Australia's NW magazine.

The lovebirds explained that their hypothetical show would be different to Vanderpump Rules, with less 'petty' drama and a focus on travel and food instead.

'I'd love to have a younger Anthony Bourdain-type show,' explained Ariana, referring to the popular American chef and TV personality.

The 31-year-old continued: 'Travel, eat amazing food, meet amazing people, go on adventures, help some people out along the way.

'But I also want my boyfriend [Tom] there with me. Sometimes we would fight!'

Radar Online first broke the news of a Jax Taylor spin-off with his Midwestern girlfriend Brittany back in October.

An unnamed insider told the tabloid: 'With fame comes jealousy so there are definitely some cast members that are bothered by this but for the most part they are all really happy for Jax because they know that they will get to be on two shows instead of just one now.'

Confirmed: Tom Schwartz confirmed that Jax and Brittany's spin-off would be a limited series instead of a full-length season

Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz later confirmed the reports during an appearance on the Reality Life podcast.

However, Schwartz revealed that the spin-off wouldn't be a full series, explaining that it would be much shorter in length - similar to other Bravo spin-offs like Kandi's Ski Trip and Tamra's OC Wedding.

The fifth season of Vanderpump Rules is currently airing now.
