First heli-skiing, now heli-YOGA: The classes in the desert only accessible by air (with a $3,500 price tag that could be a stretch for some)

  • Private 75 minute class is held on highest peak in Valley of Fire State Park, only accessible by helicopter
  • Guests take luxury helicopter to summit where they wear headphones for class and have lululemon mats
  • They can explore area on foot before the class and there's a champagne toast afterwards - all for $3,500

Move over heli-skiing, now it's heli-yoga that's taking off.

It's possible to book a helicopter to fly you from Las Vegas to the toasty Valley of Fire State Park - considered one of the most remote destinations in the southwest of the US and only accessible by air.

Helicopter company Maverick Helicopters and yoga experts at Silent Savasana have teamed up to offer the unique experience - although, priced at $3,499 (£2,776), it could be a stretch for some.

The two-and-a-half hour excursion includes limo coach transportation from the Strip to Maverick Helicopters' Las Vegas terminal, where up to six guests will depart with a yoga instructor to the Valley of Fire.

The class itself takes place on one of the highest peaks of the state park, which offers unsurpassed views of the area's spectacular red sandstone formations.

Participants needn't worry about getting distracted during the yoga class as there is time to explore the remote landscape on foot before the private, 75-minute yoga session by a certified Silent Savasana yoga instructor.

Guests will wear state-of-the-art wireless headphones, which transmit a custom playlist and instructions throughout the class, which teaches balance, discipline, focus, determination and strength of mind.
