They're never ones to shy away from a challenge, especially when they can get one over on each other.

So it was no surprise that both Phillip Schofield, 54, and Holly Willoughby, 35, threw themselves into a wacky cocktail challenge as they were pitted against each other.

Going head-to-head on Monday's edition of the show, the duo were challenged to make cocktails without using their hands - though Phillip proved that he couldn't play by the rule book.

Cheat! Phillip Schofield, 54, couldn't resist cheating as he and Holly Willoughby, 35, threw themselves into a wacky cocktail challenge on Monday's This Morning

Tasked with making a classic winter cocktail, Holly and Phillip were pitted against each other - though they couldn't use their own hands.

Teamed up with a blind-folded 'handy man', the duo had to give express instructions as the blindfolded extras lent them their hands.

Stood at a worktop with their new hands poking out from behind them, the duo proceeded to shout and roar instructions as they attempted to best each other in the mixology department.

Need a hand? The duo were challenged to make cocktails without using their hands - though Phillip proved that he couldn't play by the rule book and Holly could barely contain her giggles

However, while Holly - who had Gino D'Acampo as her helper - played by the rules, Phillip let his temper get the best of him and resorted to using his own hands.

Snapping as his new pair of hands failed to respond in an adequate manner to his snippy commands, the TV favourite allowed his competitive nature to get the best of him while and oblivious Holly and Gino blundered on.

Mixing measures and hand his extra pair of hands different object to help with the cocktail making, Phillip soon cruised his way to victory.

Making his own rules: While Holly - who had Gino D'Acampo as her helper - played by the rules, Phillip let his temper get the best of him and resorted to using his own hands

That's cheating: Snapping as his new pair of hands failed to respond in an adequate manner to his snippy commands, the TV favourite allowed his competitive nature to get the best of him

But not before he sprayed foam all over the studio in a misguided attempt at a flourish.

When Holly saw that Phillip and co were putting fancy foam into their drink, she yelled: ‘Oh no, they've got the foam!’

Though her cries soon turned to chuckles as she giggled: ‘They're really over foaming the foam,’ as the frothy mixture shot all over the studio.

Holly had better luck with Gino, though she she had other problems - mainly she couldn't stop giggling as Gino tried to work his magic

Despite the foam incident Phillip's was labelled the tastiest drink, as a shocked Holly looked on.

Though it seems that he had a slight pang of guilt, as he admitted: ‘We’ve got to concede defeat. I might have used my hands and you [the judge] helped us because we knocked everything over.’

He couldn't help but blame his partner for the loss, as Phillip turned to his partner and raged: ‘I swear to god I've never met anyone more clumsy than you!’

Slow and steady... Despite the foam incident Phillip's was labelled the tastiest drink, as a shocked Holly looked on, though he conceded defeat as his conscious got the better of him
