That's not a gathering you see every day! Unlikely crew Charlie Sheen, Kelsey Grammer, Andrew Neil and Nancy Dell'Olio enjoy a giggle at Cigar Smoker Of The Year Awards

Two are legendary Hollywood actors, one a hard-hitting journalists and the last a lawyer-turned-reality star.

So Charlie Sheen, Kelsey Grammer, Andrew Neil and Nancy Dell'Olio were not the most likely of pals - yet the foursome appeared to be getting along famously as they attended the Snow Queen Cigar Smoker Of The Year Awards.

Frolicking about on Monday evening the group appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the fourth annual event, held at London's Boisdale of Canary Wharf.

A sociable affair: Nancy Dell'Olio, Charlie Sheen, Kelsey Grammer and Andrew Neil (left-right) were not the most likely of pals - yet the foursome appeared to be getting along famously as they attended the Snow Queen Cigar Smoker Of The Year Awards

Charlie and Kelsey were flying the flag for the US as they attended the bash, where they found themselves in the company of Andrew and Nancy.

Far from struggling for common ground due to their extremely contrasting walks of life, the group appeared to be getting along famously as they bonded over the evening's subject - cigars.

Engaging his raptured audience, Andrew chatted away to the all-star trio with the Two And A Half Men and Frasier actors standing next to Celebrity Big Brother star Nancy.

Nancy appeared to be one of the few ladies in attendance and was initially seen enjoying a laugh with recently married politics journalist Andrew before finding her way over to Charlie.

The Hollywood actor was caught whispering something into Nancy's ear; and by the looks of her reaction it was typically outrageous.

Charlie was seen enjoying cocktails and having a riot with the other attendees.

He seemed to spend a lot of his time with Nancy, who was looking ultra glam in a lacy black top with sheer sleeves, long black trousers and a pearl necklace.

She wore her full dark locks loose around her face and splashed a decadent shade of dark red onto her pouty lips.

Despite recent complications with his health, Charlie looked fresh faced and full of festive cheer as he posed for snaps with his Hollywood friend on the tartan carpet.

While Kelsey, 61, kept it traditional with his black and white tuxedo with a bow tie, Charlie injected some colour into his outfit, opting for a bright purple silk tie.

And Charlie was the man of the evening - or at least one of them - given that he was up for the top award of the night (Cigar Smoker Of The Year).

Previous winners include movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger, popstar Simon le Bon and chat show host Jonathan Ross.

Categories to be contested on the night included Cigar Terrace Of The Year, Lifetime Achievement, Cigar Of The Year and Cigar Writer Of The Year – the inaugural award of this category being won by Cigar Journal’s Nick Hammond back in 2013 and James Leavey in 2015.

Charlie was up against actress Whoopi Goldberg for the accolade, who didn't appear to be in attendance. Joining the frolicks was Tom Parker Bowles and Calum Best.

This year's awards were sponsored by Snow Queen Vodka and Zenith watches and are said to be second only in the cigar world to the Habanos Cigar Festival Dinner held every year in Havana.

Ranald Macdonald, MD of Boisdale, said ahead of this year's awards: 'Unlike the Habanos Dinner, we wanted to open up the world of cigars and celebrate producers and retailers from both Cuba and the rest of the world, to bring the entire cigar community together for one spectacular event.'

All the boys! It was a night of the cigar chuffing boys

Earlier this month he spoke exclusively to Daily Mail Online to reveal his recently revealed HIV has been fully suppressed by an experimental injection in a clinical trial.

The actor, who has been involved in a clinical trial for a drug called PRO-140 since early 2016, opened up about the news on the eve of World AIDS Day as health officials around the world celebrated immense progress in HIV research.

As opposed to traditional antiretroviral therapy (ART), which involves taking daily medication, Sheen receives a weekly injection that has no side effects.

At the end of November, Charlie received the news from the head of his clinical trial that he has achieved complete suppression of the virus using this method alone, rendering it undetectable, making PRO-140 a promising prospect for people with HIV/AIDS.

Festive spirit: The event was being held at Boisdale of Canary Wharf, and marked the fourth year of the annual ceremony

And the winner is...? And Charlie was the man of the evening - or at least one of them - given that he was up for the top award of the night (Cigar Smoker Of The Year)

It came just over a year since the Hot Shots actor publicly revealed his diagnosis.

Speaking to Daily Mail Online, Charlie said he has never felt so strong and confident about his condition, and hopes the research will both bolster approval for this treatment and de-stigmatize people living with HIV.

'It's impossibly amazing,' he enthused. 'Personally, I think about how I felt on the day and how I feel today. Wow. Talk about a transformation.

'One minute you're on the road to perdition, the next you're on the road to providence. It's amazing.

'I thought for sure I'd be stuck on that cocktail forever, but look at me now.'
