'Why is she walking like there's a barrel between her legs?': Coronation Street fans mock pregnant Leanne Battersby over her 'hilariously odd' waddle

Pregnant women have to carry a tiny human around for nine months, so they can be forgiven for struggling to walk with the extra weight.

But Coronation Street actress Jane Danson, 38, Leanne Battersby has been amusing viewers with her over the top pregnancy waddle, which has been labelled 'hilariously odd'.

Viewers couldn't help mocking the soap star's efforts after Friday night's episode, with one tweeting: 'What the heck??? Why is Leanne walking like there's a barrel between her legs?'

After coming out of the corner shop with her groceries, Leanne stops to talk with her growing bump clearly visible

A fellow Coronation Street resident watched on as Leanne bizarrely waddled with her huge belly and bags

'Why is Leanne walking so weirdly in #CoronationStreet? I know she's meant to be pregnant but that's ridiculous,' commented another user on Twitter.

One included several crying-laughing emojis to their post: 'Leanne's pregnancy walk is getting more and more hilariously odd?! What is happening?! Please!!!'

A fan who's had experience with pregnancy said: 'Now I've been pregnant twice and twice the size of Leanne and never have I walked like that, Is she okay?'

'I have seen quite a few pregnant ladies walking around in my time but I have never seen anyone walk like Leanne,' added another.

Leanne waddles up the street with her shopping bags, but she seems to be having some problems with lugging both her shopping and her pregnant belly around and ends up over exaggerating her walk

As she wraps up the chit chat, Leanne heads off up the cobbles but she takes extremely wide steps that viewers found hilarious

Viewers were in hysterics over Leanne Battersby's funny pregnancy waddle, asking why it was so over the top

'What is up with Leanne's walk she's meant to be pregnant, not wet herself,' one joked.

In the soap Leanne is currently pregnant with Rover Return landlord Steve McDonald's child. 

And as her due date draws closer her stomach has been steadily increasing in size.

She's growing closer to her due date but that hasn't stopped Leanne Battersby from getting her own food shop. She was seen in Friday night's episode struggling with her chore

In the first of two Friday night episodes on December 9th, Leanne was seen carrying heavy shopping bags while she manoeuvred the Corrie cobbles.

Steve, played by Simon Gregson, is also expecting a child with his girlfriend Michell Connor. 

But she is yet to find out the truth about the father of her fellow pregnant friend.
