'Our family is expanding!' Bristol Palin reveals she is pregnant with her third child as she and her husband Dakota Meyer celebrate the news that they're expecting their second baby together

Bristol Palin has plenty to celebrate this holiday season as she has just announced that she is pregnant with her third child. 

The 26-year-old and her husband Dakota Meyer, 28, are over-the-moon over their impending arrival, which is due in the spring of 2017. 

'We are so excited to announce that our family is expanding!' the couple told Entertainment Tonight. 'God has blessed us so much; we are thankful for His grace and new beginnings. A springtime baby in the Meyer home and we can't wait!'

Bristol and Dakota are already parents to a daughter, Sailor Grace, who will celebrate her first birthday on December 23. 

The soon-to-be-mother-of-three also has a seven-year-old son, Tripp, who is her only child with her ex-fiance Levi Johnston.  

The newlyweds, who secretly said 'I do' last June, have only been married for about six months, but they are both clearly excited to add another addition to their family.  

Dakota took to Instagram on last week to share an adorable portrait of himself posed with his wife, their 11-month-old daughter, and Tripp. 

'Definitely more than I ever deserved. #family,' he captioned the outdoor image, which was taken in Wasilla, Alaska.

In the sweet photo, Dakota and Bristol have a gray fleece blanket wrapped around their shoulders as they cuddle their two children.

The two are wearing jeans, and while Bristol is donning a baggy cream sweater, Dakota opted for a navy blue V-neck knit.

Meanwhile, their children look ready for the upcoming holiday in corresponding red.

Tripp is all smiles as he poses in a red and white plaid button-down and khaki pants, and Sailor looks absolutely precious in a buffalo plaid red dress topped with a gray sweater and a matching knit hat.

The stunning image was taken by local photographer, Kendra LaCroix of LaCroix Photography, and Dakota was clearly happy with the results.

Kendra also took an adorable snapshot of the family holding a sign that reads, 'Baby Meyer 2017,' however, they waited until after the announcement to share the image with Entertainment Tonight. 

Although the couple seems to be happier than ever, the two had plenty of ups and downs over the course of their two year relationship.  

Dakota — who is the youngest person ever to be awarded the Medal of Honor — met Bristol in May 2014 during filming of her mom Sarah Palin's Sportsman Channel show Amazing America.

The pair got engaged during a Rascal Flatts concert in Las Vegas in early 2015 and planned planned a wedding in his home state of Kentucky.

Fate: Although the two called off their first engagement in 2015, they fell back in love after the birth of their daughter 

But less than a week before the ceremony, Bristol announced that the wedding would not take place, and instead of tying the knot, she set off on an RV trip in Alaska.

A month later she announced her pregnancy, although she initially refused to say whether Dakota was the father, and she admitted that her second out-of-wedlock pregnancy was 'a huge disappointment' to her family.  

Sailor Grace was born on December 23, 2015, and the couple went through a custody battle after the birth, with Bristol's mom shaming her now son-in-law when he asked for child support in court papers.

However, the two not only managed to come to an agreement, but they both fell back in love. After secretly rekindling their romance, they revealed in June 2016 that they had gotten married. 

The two often take to social media to share family photos and gush about their children, but in recent months Bristol has only posted photos where her growing baby bump is hidden.
