They've recently rekindled their romance after splitting for the second time in May.

And Emma Roberts and Evan Peters said goodbye to their tumultuous past as they put on a loved-up display while heading out for a shopping trip in New York on Friday.

The actress, 25, looked smitten as she leaned in to kiss her on/off beau as he draped his arm around her to keep her close.

The niece of Julia Roberts looked very much snug as she dressed appropriately for the bitter Big Apple chill in a faux-fur lined puffa jacket.

She donned matching black skinny jeans, ankle boots and a small black handbag and added a pop of colour with a bright red beanie.

Evan himself looked warm in a khaki jacket, brown jeans and boots as he divulged in his other half's attention.

With the Scream Queen actress gazing lovingly into his eyes- albeit with a pair of shades on - you've be forgiven to think they've had a smooth relationship.

The genetically gifted pair first met in 2012 while filming the movie Adult World.

After splitting in June 2015 they reunited a few months later only to split up again in May 2016.

Amid the reliable stream of breakups and reunions was a particularly nasty 2013 quarrel in Montreal that culminated with her getting arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. Peters declined to press charges.

Evans also proposed in 2013, and though they dissolved their engagement last year, Us Weekly alleged last month that they were affianced again.

The duo were also spotted together again this fall and TMZ captured the betrothed pair kissing over the Thanksgiving holiday while in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
