Felicity Huffman and William H Macy giggle like teens in love as they make their way down the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet
After 19 years as married actors, Felicity Huffman and William H Macy have quite a bit of red carpet experience between them.
So on Sunday night, when they trod the blue carpet at the Critics' Choice Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, they decided to wring some fun out of it.
They adorably posed facing away from the camera, turning their heads so the photos would capture the two of them chuckling.

At the night's festivities, Huffman may take home the award for Best Actress In A Movie Made For Television Or Limited Series, honouring her work on the ABC anthology drama American Crime.
The Desperate Housewives star had slipped into a tight dress that elegantly framed her svelte figure as she moved.
Above the waist, the sleeveless, backless ensemble was off-white. A thin slit ran down its front, from just below the neckline down to the midriff.
Her waistband sparkled in various shades of grey, transitioning down to flowing black fabric hemmed just above the ankle.

The 54-year-old had pulled her blonde hair up and popped on black platform stilettos. Teardrop earrings glinted at the sides of her head.
Meanwhile, her 66-year-old husband, had slipped into an Oxford blue tuxedo with a bit of black fringe.
A white bow tie clashed against his white dress shirt, and on occasion, he popped a pair of stylish black sunglasses onto his face.
Once sat next to each other inside the hangar, they appeared to be having a grand old time, laughing along as the revelries hosted by TJ Miller progressed.

Huffman gave her Instagram followers a glimpse behind the curtain at the preparation that had gone into her look that evening.
She began with a 'Before!' photo, in which she was wearing what appeared to be a grainy grey top and staring somewhat exasperatedly away from the camera.
At either side of her were her exhausted-looking makeup artist Austin Evans and her hairstylist Richard Marin, whose face was screwed up in concentration.

In the 'AFTER!' photo, she smiled on the couch, bedecked in the full ensemble she was seen in later on the carpet.
She spent her caption crediting not only Evans and Martin, but also her stylist Linda Medvene and the brand Couturissimo for her dress.
Martin Katz got a shout-out as well for her jewellery, which included a sparkling bracelet on her right wrist.

The Critics' Choice Awards nominees and winners are selected by members of The Broadcast Film Critics Association.
The BFCA has approximately 250 members - comprised of critics working in television, radio and online media.
They have been conducting the Critics' Choice awards since 1995 and are considered to represent most fully - out of awards handed out by film critics - the general public's taste.
Skidding toward the milestone: The actors have been married for 19 years
The awards show is often seen as one of the best indicators for how films will fare in awards season.
Over the last 10 years, eight of the Best Picture winners have gone on to take the same accolade at the Academy Awards.
From the years 2000 to 2013 the Critics' Choice Awards' pick for Best Picture also saw these films crowned at the Oscars: 12 Years a Slave (2013), Argo (2012), The Artist (2011), The Hurt Locker (2009), Slumdog Millionaire (2008), No Country for Old Men (2007), The Departed (2006), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), Chicago (2002), A Beautiful Mind (2001), Gladiator (2000).

While for Best Actor the Critics' Choice named 12 out of the 13 Oscar winners during that same span of years.
The annual awards ceremony also predicted, by choosing its own champions, eight Best Actress winners at the Oscars in that 13 year stretch.
The 22nd annual ceremony was held at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles and was hosted by comedic actor TJ Miller.
