Raeshawn Perez, 26, was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping

Two witnesses heroically stopped a man who abducted a seven-year-old girl because he wanted to have sex with her, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Raeshawn Perez, 26, was arrested in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Saturday and charged with aggravated kidnapping, the Times Record News reported.

Seven witnesses saw Perez with the girl, and two Good Samaritans chased him down and tackled him until the police arrived, according to the probable cause affidavit cited by the Times.

The girl's mother called the police from the 1400 block of Elizabeth Avenue on Saturday afternoon, claiming a man had abducted her daughter, according to the affidavit.

The mother directed the police east, and they found Perez being restrained by the Good Samaritans about half a mile away.

A man who lives down the block on Elizabeth Avenue saw Perez carrying the girl, and when the mother ran up and claimed her daughter had been kidnapped, he and his girlfriend jumped in a car to chase the suspect down.

The couple spotted Perez just a few streets away trying to push the girl through the window of a deserted home.

When Perez realized the Good Samaritans were in pursuit, he tried to run before the couple tackled him to the ground and held him until police arrived.

Perez was arrested and later told detectives he wanted to have sex with the young girl before he planned to take her back home, according to the probable cause affidavit.

He is being held at the Wichita County Jail with bail set at $50,000.

Brandi Young of the Wichita Falls Police Department assured residents and called it an 'isolated incident',  and the police issued tips against child abductions on their blog.
