'Finally doing something I have always wanted to,' the Sydney-born talent excitedly captioned the video.

Shot with a black and white filter, the footage shows the vocalist belting out the festive hit originally recorded by the late Natalie Cole in 1990.

The blonde beauty had her hair tied back in a simple low ponytail with minimal makeup as she was accompanied by musician Kristian Pipitone on guitar.

'I seriously love Christmas,' she told Daily Mail Australia. 'Performing Carols by Candlelight is my all time favourite memory and I just love the Christmas spirit in the air.'

Waiting: Fans of the singer/actress [pictured at the Hailey Baldwin for ModelCo collection launch in Sydney last week) hound her for new music regularly on social media

Her fans instantly gave the rendition two thumbs up, with one calling it 'perfection' and another remarking, 'So beautiful, what a voice'.

The performer had her big break on Hi-5 in 2008 when she replaced Charli Robinson, filling the role until 2013 before pursuing a solo career.

That same year she lent her name to a good cause, appearing on the single No Fracking Way by Leo Sayer to raise funds for anti-fracking group Lock the Gate.

The entertainer also threw her support behind Dry July earlier this year, an initiative which sees people ditch alcohol while fundraising for cancer.

'It changed my life in a really odd way,' she told The Daily Telegraph. 'I became so passionate about helping and raised almost $5000 for the cause.'

The aspiring artist performs a mix of country, soul and acoustic songs at events across Australia and hinted at working with a similar venture to Hi-5 soon.

'I am currently working on something very exciting,' she said. 'It may involve kids again, so stay tuned.'
