Floyd, 27, was reportedly charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of obstructing a roadway and failure to obey a police officer
This is Floyd's second DUI, following his 2011 suspension from Notre Dame for similar charges
Floyd becomes a free agent at the end of the 2016 season, and this arrest could impact his chances of being signed next year

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd was arrested Monday on accusations of driving under the influence, police said.

Cops found the NFL player asleep at the wheel of his car in Scottsdale shortly before 3am, Arizona Sports reported.

His car was still running.

Floyd, 27, was charged with two counts of DUI and one count each of obstructing a roadway and failure to obey a police officer, according to the website.

He was released the same morning.

This is Floyd's second DUI arrest while on the national football spotlight.

He was suspended indefinitely from Notre Dame in March 2011 when he was arrested while driving drunk.

Back then, he was driving at nearly twice the legal limit.

He was also cited for underage drinking in 2010.

'The incident that happened this morning with Michael Floyd, [we're] gathering as much information as I can right now on what happened and what our options are going forward,' Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians told Arizona Sports.

'I will probably have more information on that by Wednesday. Right now, it's way too soon to know what actually happened and what can be done.'
