It's dirty work! Rihanna pushes a trash can as she gets into character as a janitor on set of Ocean's 8 in NYC

She's filming the all-female installment of the Ocean's Eleven franchise.

And while it's not yet known what character she'll be playing, it seems Rihanna is in the thick of the action judging by snaps from the set in New York

The 28-year-old songstress donned a janitor's uniform seemingly on a covert mission in the comedy heist flick.

In character: Rihanna was spotted on the set of Ocean's 8 on Saturday dressed in full janitor gear

Riri wore her hair in thick braids and had earphones in as she pushed a bin full of cleaning products.

The singer's name badge read 'Angela' and she certainly seemed to be up to something as she strolled down a corridor looking determined.

The reboot also stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson and Damien Lewis as the villain.

Meanwhile the singer has denied disrespecting Beyonce on Instagram after she liked a post which bemoaned the fact she had received eight Grammy nominations while Beyonce was up for nine awards.

Beyoncé, 35, received nominations in categories including the coveted Song of the Year gong for Formation, and Album of the Year for Lemonade, both of which failed to include Rihanna in their shortlist.

A fan account for the Needed Me singer posted a lengthy rant including an emoji of a lemon, which hinted toward Beyonce.

The post read: 'Congrats and all to @badgalriri and all for her 8 Grammy nods but tbh f**k them because they snubbed her for Song of the Year and Album of the Year.

'Like how my n***a!? I think they didn't want her tied or passing someone else *cough cough* [lemon emoji]

Up to something! The star looked focused as she walked through the lobby of a building

'Cause if they wouldn't have played her she would have been in the lead with most Grammy nods. F**k u Grammys, ANTI did amazing things this year and y'all played her. I think y'all shook! (sic)'

But Rihanna - who had previously liked the photo - then responded to the comments made by her fans, urging them to 'drop this topic' and stop 'putting black women against each other'.

She wrote: 'I never actually read your caption, thought the pic was funny and moved right along! Til I seen it pop up over and over! I'm petty af, yes. But this is just unnecessary! I wish y'all would drop this topic and see things from the bigger picture!

'We don't need to be putting black women against each other! We deserve to be celebrated, and the Grammy Academy agrees! (sic)'
