She's the multi-talented model, actress, mother, and wife of Australian A-lister Chris Hemsworth.

So it was no surprise to see Elsa Pataky hard at work on Monday, wearing nothing but her underwear as she shot a mysterious project in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old took to Instagram to share the black and white photo, which she captioned: 'Shooting in LA with my friends, such an amazing team!'

The racy shoot comes just days after the mother-of-three's husband Chris shared an image of the two filming a love scene for the upcoming war drama Horse Soldiers.

In the photo, Chris, 33, can be seen spooning his wife from behind on a bed.

'Day 2 on the set of Horse Soldiers and found myself in bed with @elsapatakyconfidential,' wrote the Hemsworth hunk.

He continued: 'Usually work means she's gets a break from me, not today honey.'

The sneak peek picture is believed to have been taken from a raw cut of the film's recording, as the frame was surrounded by technical codes and camera settings.

Horse Soldiers was first announced in September, as being a film based on the true story of CIA agents and a U.S. special forces team who were sent to Afghanistan in an attempt to dismantle the Taliban in the aftermath of 9/11.

Elsa is also set to star in the next Fast & Furious sequel, The Fate of the Furious.
