Boys' night! Suited up Stranger Things kids have a great time hamming it up at Critics' Choice Awards

They have become stars overnight after appearing in sleeper hit Stranger Things.

And the show's popular groovy gang of children had a great time hamming it up with aplomb as they took to the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, and Gaten Matarazzo looked like they were having the time of their lives as they pulled a variety of ridiculous poses for the photographers.

The groovy gang: Stranger Things kids Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, and Gaten Matarazzo hammed it up at the Critics' Choice Awards in LA Sunday

And no wonder the fantastic foursome were in such high spirits, for their sleeper hit was in the running for the prestigious Best Drama Series gong.

It was facing off against such high-profile shows as Game Of Thrones, Westworld and Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul.

Young show star Finn Wolfhard, 13, who plays main character Mike Wheeler, opted for a classic look of black tuxedo, white shirt and black tie.

His 14-year-old co-star Gaten Matarazzo meanwhile opted for an all-black look, though he differentiated himself by wearing a dark shirt.

Ham sandwich: Noah was caught in the middle as Gaten and Caleb made the most of the moment

Causing a raspbery ripple: Show star Finn proved to be a formidable gurner

Stand up straight lads: Eventually they posed up for a regulation snap

Caleb McLaughlin, 15, meanwhile had opted for a cheeky plaid number, which he twinned with a purple tie and smart leather shoes.

Finally Noah Schnapp, 12, whose character Will Byers was abducted by a strange creature from another realm on the hit show, stood out from his sidekicks by donning a pair of garish pink shoes.

He also posted an Instagram picture with his friends as they got ready to head to the event, which he captioned, 'we're ready.'

Suit you sirs: Finn and Gaten opted for classic dark suits for their big night

Well plaid: But Caleb undoubtedly won the fashion battle with this cheeky number

In the pink: Noah unveiled his garish pink boots when he posted this amusing pre-show snap

Some big names have signed up to appear in the second season of the show, which won praise for its retro 80s stylings.

Gooneys favourite Sean Astin is to play RadioShack manager Bob Newby, who went to the same school as Winona Ryder's character Joyce and David Harbour's Hopper.

And comedy star Paul Reiser will play Department of Energy representative Dr. Owens, who is ordered to contain the events of that occurred in the show's first season.

Working boys: But before going to the event they attened a SAG screening of their show

A couple of Duffers: They were joined by the show's sibling creators Ross and Matt

On yer bikes: The boys play Dungeons And Dragons obsessed geeks in the sleeper hit
