Her return to The X Factor was capped with a magnificent victory for contestant Matt Terry at Wembley on Sunday evening.

And as the dust slowly settled on the young singer’s resounding triumph, mentor Nicole Scherzinger had cause to celebrate as she stepped out in the capital later that night.

The former Pussycat Doll, 38, was in justifiably high spirits while partying at Mayfair nightspot Tape with members of girl-band Little Mix after guiding Matt to this year’s crown.

Catching the eye in a plunging black top and sheer skirt, Nicole showed off a pair of nicely toned legs as she made her way inside the popular venue.

With an edgy leather jacket casually draped across her shoulders, The X Factor judge beamed at onlookers ahead of her latest public appearance in the capital.

Nicole had good company in the form of Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who had their own reason to celebrate following a stunning live performance on the hit show earlier that night.

The sultry singer teamed her ensemble with a pair of conventional nude heels while making her entrance on the arm of hunky Little Mix backing dancer Claudimar Neto.

Their appearance came after Bromley-born crooner Matt beat out competition from fellow hopeful Saara Aalto, 29, after the duo battled it out in the live show in Wembley Arena.

Led by Nicole, the 23-year-old reigned victorious in the show's 13th series after which he belted out the winner's single Christmas Comes Around, written by Ed Sheeran.

He is the eighth solo male to win the show, although his predecessors have often failed to find chart success - a curse Matt is no doubt aiming to defeat.
