This is a great book for working out at home. I like to work out on my own in my own time so thus fits in brilliantly as I can fit my 30 minute sessions in in the evening when the kids are asleep. You don't need any equipment (a mat and interval timer app useful though), the instructions are clear and easy to follow - I've printed out the session lists and read through the moves, they are all quite easy to get the hang of after a few run throughs. You do need to push yourself - Julia makes this very clear, if you're not sweating you're not doing it right! The 'goodbye' pic is a good idea and I'm finding this a good motivator! This will be great to keep dipping into after the four weeks plus excellent for taking away as you don't need any equipment. I'm reading on Kindle app on iPad/iPhone and it's absolutely fine. Really looking forward to seeing the results after four weeks as already feeling positive and energised in week one!

Excellent book and programme. The exercises are simple and very little equipment is needed. There are lots of pictures so you always know what to do and how to do it. I've been working with Julia on and off for two years now and she is a lovely person who really cares about her clients. Would recommend this book (and also her online gym, where you get lots of support, and where Julia is very active) to anyone who wants to get serious about fitness and health.

Julia is amazing... Her sessions work. The books are great but her online courses are A**** she knows her stuff and puts it across so easily. I've lost weight and got stronger since working out on her sessions

A really useful book for anyone with a mind like a sieve (like me!) who needs things laid out in a clear and concise manner.
In my opinion this book has a really good balance of pre workout instruction (best to read all this before you get started) and then individual workouts which are very easy to follow - the entire workout is on one page - you just need to familiarise yourselves with the moves beforehand and then you can get stuck in!

Like previous reviewers have said - these workouts are HARD! Don't expect to breeze through and not sweat but if you are willing to put in the effort then I really do think that 4 weeks worth of these will make a big difference to your overall fitness.
Alternatively, it would be great to mix some of these in with other exercise that you already do (running for me). I'll be using them to increase my overall fitness and core strength in the lead up to my next races.

I'm a huge fan of Julia Buckley and have used her Fat Burn revolution programme with great results so I knew this book wouldn't disappoint. Clear instructions as ever, sensible advice and a well thought out programme. I'm starting today and will update this review in a few weeks with the results.

I was fortunate to receive a review copy of Ignite, so I’ve had time to try the exercise sessions. They are brilliant; it is like a packet of dehydrated fitness; all you need to do is add sweat to get into great shape. Julia is quite clear about that, you need to do the work, but she has designed a great set of exercises that will develop all parts of your body. Different people will find different exercises hard to do depending on their previous exercise history, but this does mean that your weaknesses are being worked upon. The sessions are varied in terms of type of exercise, amount of time and repetitions so you do not get bored. I’m a very experienced endurance runner, my performance has plateaued decreasing as I am getting older. Ignite is going to change that improving strength, agility, flexibility and balance resulting in my race times getting quicker.

Julia never fails to deliver, and has certainly not disappointed with this one. I'm viewing the book using the kindle app on ipad, it looks clean, the layout and photos are great. Julia's no nonsense approach has been carried across well into the book, the instructions are clear and there's just the right amount of info and background reading, before you're ready to get down to business. No equipment required, except maybe a mat and an interval timer or app, the workouts are roughly 30mins long, including warm up and stretching. I'll be following the workouts on Julia's Online gym, but will definitely be taking this along as back up on trips away.

Workouts are short but not easy! I particularly like the modifications for low impact or beginner versions of the exercises and for keeping safe and uninjured. Also there are explanations of how and why the workouts do what they do (paying the debt and after burn must be earned) which make interesting reading. I've trained with Julia Buckley with the Fat Burn Revolution and on her website and after 10 months I'm still there - which is a first for me. I'm 8lb lighter, more defined and feeling so much fitter and stronger.
