We are family: And singer-turned-actor Shayne Ward and his stunning partner Sophie Austin appear to be taking to parenthood swimmingly as they were spotted indulging in some Christmas shopping in Manchester on Monday

Just a week before their outing, Shayne posted a note on Twitter from Sophie, reading: 'Proud to share our incredible news...

'Me and Sophie had a beautiful baby girl. We are completely besotted and in love with the deepest of hearts. Our world. Willow May Ward.'

Since the announcement, Shayne appeared on Saturday night's Xtra Factor via video link, to proudly debut his daughter to the world - yet the family shopping trip is their first outing together.

Sophie was perfectly equipped for winter as she slipped on a camel coat which perfectly coordinated with her tan Ugg boots - perfect for the blistering December climes.

She kept things simple underneath as she sported head-to-toe black paired with a cream beanie topped with a fur bobble.

Shayne looked equally stylish in a collarless leather jacket paired with a black T-shirt and light wash jeans, while accessorising with his practical back pack - no doubt weighed down with nappies and essentials.

Just days before, Shayne, who won The X Factor in 2005, looked overjoyed as he appeared on the talent show's sister programme to speak to hosts Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson - where he admitted the satisfaction when she does 'number twos'.

The brunette and fellow actor Graeme wed in July 2015, but had called it quits by the end of the year.

Shayne's representative had confirmed their blossoming relationship with an official statement a few weeks earlier.

'Yes, the friendship between the pair has progressed after Sophie split with her partner, however it’s all still early days to comment further', his representative said.

A source told The Mirror: 'It was only after her marriage was definitely over they became anything more than just friends.’

'They went on a couple of dates after catching up through mutual friends. They’ve kept it low key so far.'
