A five star performance! Alesha Dixon shows off her tight abs in bold striped bikini as she takes to the stage at lavish resort launch in Cape Verde

Britain’s winter chill was traded for rather more tropical temperatures on Sunday as Alesha Dixon entertained fans with a headline performance in Cape Verde.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 38, took to the stage at the official launch of Bikini Beach Club, a lavish new five star hotel, bar and restaurant complex located some 40 metres into the Atlantic Ocean on the archipelago’s picturesque Sal Island.

Showing off her tight abs in a red and black striped bikini top, Alesha was in eye-catching form on a night that also included performances from Seb Fontaine, Tinie Tempah Roger Sanchez and Basement Jaxx.

The former Mis-Teeq star added to her look with high slung jeans and a smart black blazer jacket that she later removed as her set got into full swing.

Styling her hair in a simple top knot, Alesha was in high spirits while performing a string of tracks from her back catalogue. 

Alesha was performing after flying to the popular holiday destination with three-year old daughter Azura, her only child with partner Azuka Ononye.

Taking to Instagram on Monday morning,  the singer shared a snap of the pair as they relaxed on the beach with the accompanying caption: 'Thank you Cape Verde.' 

Talking about little Azura on Loose Women recently, Alesha revealed the cheeky tot sometimes puts her on the naughty step if she is 'failing at certain things'.

'She is very funny, she has us in stitches every day', she admitted.

Having recently admitted that the youngster inherited singing and dancing skills from her dancer dad, Alesha added: 'I'll encourage her to do what she wants when she's older, she likes singing.'

Meanwhile the star, who has now succeeded in both the music and fashion industries, also admitted recently that she wants to be a good role model for her daughter, and other young admirers.

Speaking to MAKERS, she explained: 'We (with fellow BGT judge Amanda Holden) wanted to be responsible role models for other women out there to show that women should support one another and not be against each other.'

As an openly passionate feminist, the statuesque beauty continued: 'Whether it’s fighting for equal pay, or just to be treated with respect, it’s something I think is really important. I love being a female. I love being the boss.'
