And Kate Beckinsale went for a similarly classy number when she appeared on Despierta America in Miami to promote her new film Underworld: Blood Wars on Monday.

Flaunting her toned body in a strapless obsidian jumpsuit, the 43-year-old actress talked about her relationship with her mum in the Univison Studios.

Sporting a trendy raven skinny scarf with pearl stitching, the Underworld star wore her ombré locks down in a long natural curls while promoting her film.

Clad in a nude lip and lightly shaded eye, Kate extended her svelte pins with a pair of midnight black open-toe heels as she discussed her love for dogs on the show.

Since 2003, the proud feminist has starred as Selene in the Underworld film series.

The dark horror movies follows Kate's lead vampire character.

As the lead actor in the film, the mother-of-one feels very privileged for her role, and also believes she's a part of something bigger.

'My daughter doesn't think it's at all unusual for a female lead action star to be number one at the box office,' she began in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.

'But we were at the very beginning of all that and I feel very privileged to be a part of moving the needle.'

Up next, Kate will be seen in the drama, The Only Living Boy in New York, alongside Jeff Bridges and Pierce Brosnan.

Underworld: Blood Wars, the fifth and most recent film in the action horror franchise, is slated for an American release on January 7, 2017 and a British opening six days later.
