SPOILER ALERT: Tom Cunningham is arrested for the murder of the Osborne family in Hollyoaks... as Peri leads him into a trap with Detective Eva

A first-look episode of Hollyoaks on E4 saw Eva (Kerry Bennett) get her hands on Tom (Ellis Hollins) following Peri's (Ruby O'Donnell) decision to approach the police.

The Osbornes – Tom, Frankie (Helen Pearson), Esther (Jazmine Franks), Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson), Nancy (Jessica Fox) along with Kim (Daisy Wood Davies) - escaped the village some weeks ago after Jack (James McKenna) received a phone call warning him that someone was out to kill him.

Although it's still uncertain to the family who is out to get Jack, viewers are aware that it's in fact DI Eva Falco.

Drama! Peri inadvertently leads Detective Eva straight to Tom... and gets him arrested

The detective is out for revenge - and to add to the drama, she is currently heading up the missing Osborne investigation.

In recent episodes, Eva has been seen getting closer than ever to the family when she was told about Kim's drug scandal.

Eva quickly acted on the news and sent around pictures of The Osbornes to all of the local hospitals.

Meanwhile, Tom ignored Jack’s wishes and escaped from the Safe House in a bid to see Peri.

Child star! Ellis Hollins first appeared on the soap at the age of just three. He has grown up on the series (he is now 17) and has been involved in many dramatic storylines playing Tom

Tom planned to meet her in The Folly in the hope nobody will find him there; but Peri informed Eva, who decided to come along as well.

Peri soon paid for her foolish mistake and things quickly turned from bad to worse when Eva arrested Tom and threatened him.

The sassy detective insisted he speak up, threatening to charge him with the murder of The Osbornes if he failed to cooperate.

He was then carted off by the DI to a police vehicle.

The event is quite a milestone for the character of Tom, who has grown up on the long-running soap.

The actor, Ellis Hollins, first appeared on the soap at the age of just three.

He has grown up on the series (he is now 17) and has been involved in many dramatic storylines playing Tom, including the death of both his parents and his brother, starting a fire, running away, attacking an intruder and a teenage pregnancy and adoption storyline. 

Hollyoaks airs weeknights with a first-look episode on E4 at 7pm; the same episode os then shown on Channel 4 at 6:30pm the following night.
