'Do you seriously think she's putting mascara on her young child?': Billie Faiers' fans leap to her defence as it's unfairly claimed she puts make-up on daughter Nelly, two

She's a doting mother who often posts pictures of her daughter on Instagram. 

But Billie Faiers came under fire on Tuesday as she shared an adorable snap of two-year-old Nelly at Santa's Grotto, which some fans believed showed her wearing make-up. 

Looking away from the camera, the cute toddler seemed in great spirits as she beamed ahead of her trip to see Father Christmas.

Cute: Billie Faiers came under fire on Tuesday as she shared an adorable snap of two-year-old Nelly at Santa's Grotto, which some fans believed showed her wearing make-up

The TOWIE starlet was not in the snap, but also seemed in great spirits as she captioned the image: 'A much more successful trip to see Father Christmas this year.'

However, the post attracted some negative attention as one fan asked: 'I know this might sound ridiculous but are they fake eyelashes?' whilst another pondered: 'Have they put mascara on this little girl? Haha.'

But her fans were quick to leap to her defence as they pointed out that Nelly has always been blessed with thick, long eyelashes. 

'Do people seriously think she's putting mascara on her young daughter? There was a photo of her asleep recently and u can see her eyelashes are naturally long and dark.. people need to get a grip ffs,' one fan pointed out.

Others added: 'Omg! Listen to yourselves, do you really think she would put mascara on her! children are known to have long eyelashes whether they are blonde or not. 

'I saw Nellie at centre parks at the weekend and she has beautiful eyelashes definitely no mascara

'Fair enough but I don't think she's stupid enough to put makeup on her at this age when her skin is still sensitive.'

In May last year, Billie's younger sister and Nelly's aunt Sam Faiers, commented on the toddler's stunning eyelashes.

The comments were made in response to an Instagram post shared by Billie, where Billie had quipped 'Nelly's favourite lashes' sharing a picture of her daughter examining a pack of Sam's false eyelashes.

Upon seeing the post, Sam wrote: 'Never in a million years is nelly going to even need false ones with those lovely natural long lashes of hers haha. Love u both xxx' 

Billie welcomed Nelly with fiance Greg Shepherd in July 2014, they are now expecting another child which they recently revealed is a boy.
