Look away now, Simon! Former X Factor judges Dannii Minogue and Gary Barlow join forces for new singing show Let It Shine

They both served as judges on Simon Cowell's long-running singing show, The X Factor.

And Dannii Minogue didn't seem too concerned about leaving out the music mogul as she posed alongside Gary Barlow at the press launch for his new BBC One singing competition, Let It Shine at the Ham Yard Hotel in London on Tuesday.

The Aussie singer, 45, who will be joining the judging panel with the former Take That singer and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, teased what was to come in a sartorially savvy ensemble.

The former Home and Away soap-star looked smoking hot in a boxy red satin top which boasted a stylish cape. 

Showing off her lean legs, the striking brunette opted for chic tapered trousers and boosted her height in a pair of purple and gold foiled heels. 

Youthful looking Dannii put on a high spirited display as she posed on the red carpet with the rest of the line-up.

Looking thrilled at his upcoming project, Gary, 45, looked typically dashing in a cool leather jacket, maroon sweater and skinny jeans.

Martin looked like the ultimate silver fox in a slick suit, crisp white shirt and grey tie.

The three head ponchos were joined at the event by the show's presenters Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc. 

Let It Shine will run over eight weeks on Saturday night and aims to find the country's best talent to form the next big band. 

The formed group will go to join the cast of a new stage show called The Band which will feature the music of Take That, created in association with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald.

Speaking off the show Gary revealed: 'Back in 1989, we were just a group of normal guys from Manchester who came together to become Take That. The secret to our success was that each of us brought something different to the group and that the five of us had real chemistry.

'Now with Let It Shine we're looking for people from all walks of life to form another unique group who can recreate that magic. If you think you’ve got what it takes, we want to see it!'

Auditions for the show began in July and August with filming kicking off in September.  

Gary is undoubtedly one of Britain's best music mentors and has previously offered his expertise on ITV's The X Factor for three years. 

In 2011, he mentored Marcus Collins to a runner-up slot on the singing show, while his act Christopher Maloney also came in second place the following year.

Also joining the series: Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc are set to co-host the series

In his final year in 2013, he saw success once again after mentoring boy-band Rough Copy to third position. 

Dannii is also a force to be reckoned with as her act Leon Jackson won in 2007, allowing her to become the first female judge to win the series.

The sister of Kylie Minogue became a regular judge on the series until 2010, before offering her expertise on The X Factor Australia from 2013 to 2015. 

Let It Shine will debut on BBC One in 2017.
