Elle didn't hold back from wowing with her gorgeous frock, which cinched perfectly into her narrow waist.

The dress was partially unbuttoned at the top as to hang off her shoulder, and tied around her torso with a wide bow.

Her skirt draped dramatically close to the floor, but was short enough to show off her black satin heels.

Bringing out her naturally gorgeous features, Elle opted for minimal makeup - using just a cat eyed slick of eye liner and pink blush to grace her blemish-free complexion.

Good times: The cast had some fun catching up on the red carpet

'So for me to go back 80, 90 years and play an Afro-Cuban in the 1920s in the South of America was enlightening,' she said of her Live By Night role. 'It was extremely painful and, also, inspiring, I was deeply moved. Ben’s approach was not sympathetic, it was absolutely empathetic.

'It was a testament to not just who he is as a filmmaker, but who he is as a person. He grew up outside of Boston with so many cultures around him that he was actually curious about.

'And now as a filmmaker he can explore that, and he's showcased all of these cultures in America, just trying to get by, y'know? I think it brings a whole different layer to gangster movies.'

Live By Night will be in theatres Christmas Day, a year later than it was initially expected to be released.

Dressed to impress! Margaret Anne Florence and Gretchon Mol rocked the red carpet in their fitted frocks
