'It's too soon': Boyfriend of mother, 24, who was missing for more than 30 hours after vanishing from her work Christmas party say the family aren't ready to speak about where she was

  • Mother Louise Maloney, 24, went missing after a night out in Manchester
  • Last seen at the Sugar Buddha bar at Deansgate Locks in Manchester city centre
  • Friends and family launched an urgent Facebook appeal to find her
  • Today police revealed that she has been found following their investigation

The boyfriend of a mother who was missing for more than 30 hours after leaving her work Christmas party said 'it's too soon' to speak about where she went.

Louise Maloney vanished from the party in central Manchester at 2am on Monday, sparking a frantic search for the mother-of-two.

Boutique shop girl Louise - who rarely goes out - had left her daughter, aged five and son aged three with a babysitter so she could go to her work Christmas party.

When she was found alive, her sister Kirstie Prince, 27, was pictured overcome with emotion.

And Louise's boyfriend Craig Colclough this evening said the family were not ready to speak about where Louise had gone.

This is the emotional moment Kirstie Prince was told her younger sister had been found alive more than 30 hours after she vanished during a works Christmas party

The mysterious disappearance occurred just three months after Louise, from Chadderton, near Oldham, was a bridesmaid at Kirstie's wedding to husband Simon Prince

But she failed to return home and did not get in contact with relatives or friends.

Kirstie and five friends began searching the area outside the Sugar Buddha bar in Manchester's swanky Deansgate Locks where Louise had been partying as police began a public appeal for information about her whereabouts.

Mother-of-two Louise Maloney, 24, from Chadderton in Greater Manchester, did not return home from a party in the city centre

But at 11am on Tuesday as the group handed out 'missing' posters and asked staff at the bar and passersby if they had seen anything suspicious, Kirstie fielded a call on her mobile phone to say Louise had walked through her front door at home.

As she listened to the call she was pictured weeping tears of relief and asking: 'is she okay, is she okay?' before falling into a friends arms.

She then rushed away to be reunited with Louise, posting a message on Facebook saying: 'There is a god he listened to my prayers. She's home. Thank you everyone who has helped us.'

The mysterious disappearance occurred just three months after Louise, from Chadderton, near Oldham, was a bridesmaid at Kirstie's wedding to husband Simon Prince.

It is thought Louise had been using her WhatsApp in the run up to her turning up.

The family said CCTV from the bar showed Louise leave the bar and head over a bridge crossing the canal and walk towards Deansgate station.

The CCTV apparently showed her walking away without her coat, and possibly with a man who nobody recognised. Friends say they checked on WhatsApp to see Louise's phone had been used at around 9am on Monday 12th and then 10.20am on Tuesday.

Make-up artist Kirstie Prince, 27, had mounted a frantic search for mother-of-two Louise Maloney, 24, after she was last seen at 2am on Monday during a party in central Manchester

Today Greater Manchester Police were waiting to question Louise about where she had been on the nights she was missing.

Officers and sent out a 1am public alert on Tuesday urging her to come home with Sgt Liam McCarthy saying: 'This is extremely out of character for Louise and her family are understandably very worried about her.

'We have a team of dedicated officers trying to locate her and as many people are out for Christmas parties, Sunday was likely to busy with revellers and I would appeal to anyone who might have seen her that night to please contact police immediately.

'I would also urge anyone who thinks they have seen Louise since, or someone matching her description, to also call us.

'Any information you have, not matter how small, could help us find Louise and make sure she is safe.'

A Facebook page set up called 'Find Louise Maloney' added: 'The more people that see her beautiful face the more chances of her being found. So please just keep sharing her face and this page and let's get Louise back to her family and friends'

Louise works at the Goldsmiths jewellery Boutique at the House of Fraser store in Manchester. According to her social media profile she studied level 3 diploma in children and young peoples workforce at Manchester College.

At the time alarm was raised she was last seen wearing a cream waist-length fur coat, a black knee-length dress with lace sleeves, black boots with studs on the heels and was carrying a small black clutch bag.

At the time of the search Kirstie said: 'I just want my sister home. My sister has been missing since Sunday night she has two babies at home that need her, please anyone that has any little detail contact me by message I'm trying to keep my phone line free. If anyone knows any little detail that might help please contact me, the police have been informed now also.'

Family friend Allana Fleming said: 'Louise would never not come home after a night out - it is completely out of the ordinary and that's why people are beside themselves.

'It's not like her at all, she would definitely leave her kids or her partner. Her children are five and three and it was her works Christmas do she was on.'

'Her sister, brother-in-law and partner and a few other friends are meeting up and we are getting anyone down that can come and help look, that is key. You feel so helpless and useless staying in doing nothing, just waiting. It's two weeks before Christmas as well, she has two babies that need her and are waiting for her.

'We don't know where she is but the first port of call is where she went missing and was last seen. I've not spoken to her sister because she's keeping her phone lines free in case Louise rings. We will get out looking from there in force.'

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: 'Louise Maloney, 24, who was reported missing on Monday 12 December 2016, has been found. GMP would like to thank the media for sharing this appeal.'
