NFL greats touch down in Trump Tower for talks on making inner cities 'great again' as Kanye and the founder of Davos flock to the tower too
- Cleveland Browns great Brown and Ravens linebacker Lewis visited Trump Tower on Tuesday
- They were accompanied by former Apprentice contestant Omarosa Maginault and Cleveland pastor Darrell Scott
- Scott said they spoke about combining Brown's 'Amer-I-can' program with the government
- Says Trump made a 'verbal commitment'
President-elect Donald Trump met with football legend Jim Brown and all star linebacker Ray Lewis to hear a pitch about a program that serves African American communities.
'We couldn't have had a better meeting,' said Brown. The graciousness, the intelligence, the reception we got was fantastic,' said Brown after the meeting.
The football greats showed up at Trump Tower Tuesday for a meeting with the president-elect.
Pastor Darrell Scott, of Cleveland, pitched Brown's Amer-I-can nonprofit program, and spoke of the program for troubled kids inside the government under Trump.

We talked about marrying or merging the Amer-I-can program with the Trump administration to make America great again,' he said.
'Rather than invent a new vehicle to utilize to help the African American community, we got a vehicle we just gotta put some gas in it maybe wax it up shine it up a little bit and get it going,' he said.
It wasn't immediately clear how the program could be merged with government programs or which ones were under discussion.
Added Ray Lewis, who was known for his legendary hits on the field (he also suffered a suspension in xxx), 'What we believe with the Trump administration is if we can combine these two powers of coming together forget black or white.'
He continued: 'Black or white is irrelevant. The bottom line is job creation and economic development in these urban areas to change the whole scheme of what our kids see.'

'He's wide open to really helping us change what hasn't been changed,' added Lewis, in a reference to Trump.
Omarosa, who appeared with Trump throughout the campaign, said he was 'very enthusiastic about it.'
The meeting, which wasn't announced in advance, came on a day Trump also met with hip hop star Kanye West and other notables, including former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum.
Both of the gridiron stars have have trouble in their backgrounds.
Brown has been accused on several occasions of beating women, though the charges got dropped in some instances, and he was found guilty once, of vandalism, Deadspin reported.
Lewis was charged in a double slaying outside a club in 2000, but avoided a murder charge when he testified against two other suspects.
Lewis an Trump attended the Army-Navy game in Baltimore on Saturday.
Others showing up at Trump Tower on Tuesday included Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Davos world economic forum founder Klaus Schwab, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Trump's election rival met with her own Cleveland superstar during her failed campaign, where she attended a rally with hoops star LeBron James.
