'I can't believe you just said that': Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield left stunned as Gino D'Acampo randomly reveals he was conceived in 90 seconds during cookery segment

It was an innocent cooking segment about how to make an alternative to Christmas pudding for the holiday season.

But chef Gino D'Acampo blindsided hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as he casually announced, out of nowhere, that his parents conceived him in 90 seconds.

As he was whipping up some cream and icing sugar for the interior of his panettone Christmas dessert, Phillip informed him there was two and a half minutes left to get the pudding made.

'Yay, two and a half minutes!' Gino cheered for no apparent reason, leaving Holly and Phillip staring at him a little perplexed.

After a beat, Gino explained: 'My mum and my dad did me in 90 seconds, that's what my father said to me!'

Referring to the timeframe in which he was allegedly conceived, the off-topic remark seemed to throw Holly and Phillip who were left tittering nervously.

'90 seconds! Can you imagine two and a half minutes. Are you for real?' Gino said.

'Oh my gosh!' Holly exclaimed, holding a hand to her mouth.

'I can't believe you just said that!' Phillip declared.

'It's the truth!' Gino said, as if justifying that the comment was somehow relevant.

'How does that make you feel?' asked Phillip.

'It was a bit of a quick job! Put a bit of effort in. That's how it makes me feel!' Gino admitted.

The TV chef put an Italian spin on the traditional dish with his Panettone Semifreddo - a variation on the seasonal favourite made instead with panettone bread.

Gino's little helper: Tasked with slicing the bread, Holly exclaimed 'the smell is killing me' before sneaking a quick taste of the panettone and putting her finger to her lips coyly as she gave the camera a cheeky glance

The pudding - which is packed with  double cream, icing sugar, chocolate and Marsala wine - was put together with the help of Holly and Phillip, who gushed about the tempting recipe.

'I love panettone - it's my favourite; it's like a vanilla hot cross bun,' Holly said.

Later in the segment she was seen tucking into the finished pudding and groaning with delight over the sweet taste.

Too much information! Gino D'Acampo blindsided hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as he casually announced, out of nowhere, that his parents conceived him in 90 seconds

Her enthusiasm for the decadent recipe comes as the TV star has revealed she doesn't like to talk about her diet and exercise regimen.

The presenter's famously curvy figure would suggest the TV star avoids sweet treats at all costs in order to look camera-ready every morning.

However, she refused to divulge details of her diet plan in a recent interview with Prima magazine, insisting that there is more to life than what we eat, how much we work out and what we look like.

'I don’t want to encourage eating disorders. I try not to focus too much on my appearance,' she told the publication. 'As long as I’m being healthy, that’s good enough for me.'

Oversharing! Referring to the timeframe in which he was allegedly conceived, the off-topic remark seemed to throw Holly and Phillip who were left tittering nervously

The 35-year-old TV star has three young children - and is certain to want to avoid any remarks that could one day impress upon them as they grow up in a world of Instagram selfies and fitness fads.

Stating that appearance is 'not the important thing' in life, Holly went on to explain: 'I actually avoid talking about my diet and exercise regime because I have interviewed so many people affected by eating disorders and I know that some people in chat rooms can really fixate on other people's diets.

'I just can't contribute to that.'

The bigger picture: Holly has refused to divulge details of her diet plan in a recent interview with Prima magazine, insisting that there is more to life than what we eat, how much we work out and what we look like

The star is clearly clued up on what goes on online between social media users - with fans taking to Twitter and Instagram daily during This Morning to comment on what she's wearing, what a guest on the show is wearing or just generally making remarks, be they negative or positive.

Holly's desire not to feed into this doesn't stop her uploading a daily snap of what she's wearing every morning on the show - but this is for the purpose of promoting the designs themselves.

She captioned Monday morning's photo with: 'Today's festive look on @thismorning ... top @nextofficial and skirt by @missselfridge #sparkle x'

In turn she promotes the brands and guides those who enjoy her fashion on where they can buy the clothes for themselves.

And although she clearly works hard on her figure, Holly's aim seems to be to promote a balanced lifestyle and not deprive oneself of treats here and there - especially over Christmas.
