NEW Retired New York cop Tabatha Foster, 40, (left) has filed a lawsuit against Assistant Chief Jeffrey Maddrey (right) who she claims forced her into a sexual relationship over seven years. She went public with her claims about Maddrey, 45, (pictured with Foster inset) on Facebook earlier this year and accused him of also having affairs with several female cops. Foster claims Maddrey would summon her to his office to have sex on-duty after he first started preying on her in 2009, the lawsuit alleges. Foster claims the affairs resulted in mental and physical abuse.

Johnny Depp is steaming, believing his ex-wife Amber Heard broke the terms of their divorce settlement by speaking publicly about domestic violence, which he maintains breaches their confidentiality agreement. Heard caused controversy when she penned a letter for the December issue of the fashion magazine Porter about domestic violence and female empowerment and starred in a PSA about domestic abuse. While she never mentions Depp by name, it's clear who she is referring to in the pieces. In a declaration attached to the filing Heard slams Depp for leaking stories about the divorce settlement claiming she's a 'gold-digger'  and 'bragging' that she had settled for less than previously reported. Heard's lawyers have asked a an Los Angeles Supreme Court judge to act against Depp and force him to pay.

The captain of the cargo ship El Faro that sank near the Bahamas last year refused to listen to his crew members' suggestions that he alter course just hours before the vessel was destroyed by Hurricane Joaquin, killing all 33 onboard. The National Transportation Safety Board on Tuesday released a 510-page audio transcript from the ship's voyage data recorder and other data about the wreck, but said it was not yet ready to identify the cause behind the sinking, which occurred during a routine cargo run between Jacksonville, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

Meg Alexander, 29, and Brett Greenhill were due to tie the knot in just ten weeks time when tragedy struck.
The active couple - who loved to run out and work out together - had been holding a joint bachelor/ bachelorette party on the beach in Naples, Florida, on December 3 when Greenhill decided to go swimming. While his friends and fiance stayed on the beach, the 39-year-old had dived into the ocean. The next thing friends saw, was Greenhill floating motionless in the water. Alexander, 29, says friends helped drag him from the water and called 911. 'I can't feel anything. Meg, I love you so much and I'm so sorry. I love you so much,' she said he told her.

Britt McHenry unleashed a torrent of abuse on Advanced Towing employee Gina Michelle last year, after her car was towed while she was eating dinner in Arlington, Virginia. Surveillance footage captured the 28-year-old mocking Michelle's weight, teeth, supposed lack of education and her job during the confrontation in April 2015.

Paramedics found Mark Fulgham, 36, covered in bed sores and riddled with maggots at their Concord, California home after his wife Dormanicia called 911 when he began struggling to breathe on December 30, 2015. He died in hospital just one day later of severe dehydration, malnutrition and infection. Police said he had suffered such severe starvation that his bones were severely pronounced. Dormanicia Lawson, 37, was arrested and initially charged with homicide over what California officials deemed 'one of the worst neglect cases' they'd ever seen.

Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott have moved for the eighth time in six years to make room for their fifth child together. The sprawling 4,714-square-foot, 1980s-era estate is in Woodland Hills, California, just nine miles north of her former rental in Encino. Along with gaining an additional 1,800 square feet from the move, Spelling is also getting a tennis court and relaxing sauna in the master bath. The five-bedroom, five bathroom, $2 million home rents for $9,500 a month and sits on almost an acre lot.

Rapper Kanye and the president-elect had an extraordinary meeting at Trump Tower on Tuesday morning with West bringing a book of nudes and wanting to talk about violence in Chicago. The trio posed in the next president's personal office (left) before descending to the foyer of Trump Tower where the Republican election winner embraced the rapper (top right). The Secret Service had assessed West as posing no threat to Trump's safety after his time on a psychiatric hold. He was released from hospital in Los Angeles last week. Kanye, who arrived with his mother in-law Kris Jenner's boyfriend Corey Gamble, 35 (bottom left) then tweeted about the meeting - with the final tweet hinting at his own run: '#2024'.

Donald Trump wished 'Merry Christmas' to a Wisconsin crowd in front of a bank of Christmas trees and issued both a compliment and a threat to Speaker Paul Ryan. Trump held another 'thank you' rally in Wisconsin, a state he peeled away from Democrats to help capture the White House. 'Every day goes by I get to appreciate his genius more and more,' Trump said of Ryan, before mentioning meetings with 'titans of industry, art, sports' and other fields.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates suggested that Donald Trump could be Kennedy-esque, if the president-elect played his cards right. Talking to CNBC's Becky Quick on the network's Squawk Box show, Gates suggested that Trump could establish 'American leadership through innovation.' 'In the same way President Kennedy talked about the space mission and got the country behind that,' Gates mentioned.

Lamiya Aji Bashar, 18, and Nadia Murad, 23, are two of thousands of Yazidi women and girls who have been abused by the terror group. Lamiya (pictured, right, with Nadia), who lost the sight in one eye when she was injured by a landmine while escaping in March, said the Sakharov Prize for human rights was one 'for every woman and girl who has been sexually enslaved' by ISIS. They were given the award in Strasbourg, France.

Karina Vetrano, 30, was brutally beaten, raped and strangled in Spring Creek Park near her home in Howard Beach, New York, on August 2. Her father Phil (inset on Dr Oz) was meant to go running with her but couldn't because of a back injury (left). He said he knew something was wrong around 25 minutes after she left and phoned police at around 5pm. Karina was seen on surveillance footage (right) at 5.46pm but is believed to have been killed moments later. No one has been arrested in connection with her death.

From Oscar-worthy acceptances to heart-warming embraces, research on the gift-opening habits of 2,000 Americans found that 73 per cent of those surveyed regularly fake their reactions when opening a present. The study, conducted by market researchers, OnePoll, and commissioned by Groupon found the average person takes under five seconds to know if they like a present, so how can you tell if your gift is a bust?

'I have asked my son about the succession plan, and he said he does not want to live a life like mine,' Wang, 62, told an entrepreneurs summit over the weekend.

So Felicity Jones ensured she was dressed to impress as she slipped into a flowing grey gown for a fan screening in London on Tuesday. Turning heads as she walked the red carpet, the Oscar-nominated actress, 33, oozed glamour in the Grecian style garment. 

Yoga mogul, Trevor Tice (left and bottom right), who founded CorePower Yoga in 2002, was found dead under 'suspicious circumstances' in his $3 million California mansion on Monday, authorities said. Police (top right outside his home) didn't elaborate on Tice's death, but said someone who knew him was conducting a welfare check when they found his body. The 48-year-old is believed to have been living in the home by himself. According to CorePower Yoga's website, there are more than 150 studios across the US. Tice founded the company after he suffered a mountain climbing accident and could no longer run. An autopsy will determine whether the death was a homicide, authorities said.

Johnny Manziel (top and bottom left and right) decided to test out his pizza-tasting skills in a video with Barstool Sports, following a weekend of partying in New York for his birthday and with Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson. Manziel appeared as a guest reviewer on Barstool's One Bite with Dave Portnoy (top and bottom left), who tries and rates every Manhattan pizza joint. 'Score from one to 10, what do you got?' Portnoy asks Manziel. 'Pretty good. I say it's like an eight,' Manziel said before admitting that he's from Texas and was no expert in judging pizza. Portnoy then told Manziel that his score was 'one of the worst reviews' he'd ever had.

Lucy Adamsky, three, from New Jersey threw a hilarious tantrum after her mother Kristen tried to make her believe in the magic of The Elf On The Shelf. Kristen insisted Bubbles the elf was keeping an eye on Lucy for Santa in the run up to Christmas but the toddler had a meltdown, saying: 'He's not really, see? He's a toy!' Her mother warned that Bubbles would tell Santa, but her daughter then denounced Father Christmas himself.

Denver Broncos' wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (pictured) was in the delivery room to welcome the birth of his baby girl on Tuesday (left), even though his wife filed for divorce in October and was granted a restraining order against him, TMZ reported. Gabriella Sanders (left of left, left of right) filed divorce documents in Texas at the end of October, citing a 'discord or conflict of personalities', it has been reported. While the judge granted a temporary restraining order against Emmanuel, he was given 'limited access' to their children. But the couple appeared to be delighted on Tuesday in a photograph the football player posted to Instagram announcing his daughter's birth (left).

The footage, shot in Sydney, Australia on Sunday, shows Feliks Zemdegs (pictured), 20, solving the famous 1980s Rubiks cube toy in just 4.73 seconds. The previous world record was set by Mats Valk (right), 20, who is sat next to Mr Zemdegs as he breaks his record. Mr Zemdegs, a commerce student at the University of Melbourne, gets just ten seconds to inspect the Rubiks cube before he has to solve it.

Stephanie and Jordan Jones, both 29, sold their home in the US and most of its contents to travel with their children to countries including Turkey and Austria where they stayed in Airbnb properties. The couple are both self-employed so they were able to work remotely as they traveled. Stephanie, pictured left and right with her children, said they adapted easily to their new lives but that arriving home in September was a 'culture shock'.

Clearing the drive of snow after a heavy dump is normally an arduous task. But one genius boy has found a way to speed up the painstaking process. The youngster created a makeshift snowplow with his hoverboard at his home in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The boy rapidly rolled up and down his drive while shovelling snow at either side.

The 24-year-old shows no visible signs of strain as she lifts her equally scantily clad sister, who is the same height as the other girl.

Aneesha (pictured in a pink dress) stole the show during her sister Natasha's quinceañera in San Jose, California. She delivered her punchlines with perfect timing, complaining about her sister's hand-me-downs. Natasha, wearing a tiara and a puffy white gown, sat in a chair onstage and laughed with the rest of the crowd. Aneesha explained that she had to wait seven years until she could wear her sister's old clothes, even though Natasha is only three and a half years older than her - because Natasha is so tall. 'Have you seen her height?' Aneesha asked. 'She's like that character from "Jack And The Beanstalk"... not the giant, the beanstalk!'
