He has made some eccentric wardrobe choices in the past.

But Jaden Smith's clothes selection seemed a lot less random as he met up with Kanye West on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old indulged in a bit of shameless self promotion as he linked up with his fellow rapper in New York.

The son of Will wore a custom hoodie emblazoned with the name of his new single and upcoming album, on the off chance he might be photographed with the famous Famous star.

The teen also wore the same Suicidal Tendencies punk band patch he wears in the aptly wild west themed video for Fallen.

The Get Down star's get up also included two odd coloured trainers - one yellow, one purple - a long black coat, and a baseball cap bearing the word 'family'.

His tracksuit bottoms meanwhile bore the phrase 'flame of disorder', another Jaden-ism he has been promoting, including on a T-shirt in the same music video.

In one hand he carried his phone and a portable speaker, possibly to play his new tune for kanye.

In the other he carried a bag from Pressed Juicery, the juice cleanse specialist, also probably for the embattled Kanye.

Kanye, 39, was having lunch with his wife's mother's boyfriend Corey Gamble, 36, at the time.
