Engaged! Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba set to wed soap opera actor Robb Derringer after he presents her with huge diamond

Carrie Ann Inaba is engaged to soap opera star Robb Derringer.

The Dancing With The Stars judge, 48, revealed the news to People on Wednesday. 'It was the perfect proposal,' the former dancer said, noting he popped the question in November while in a secluded cove on a California beach. 

The 49-year-old actor added: 'I got down on one knee under what I will always remember as the most serene and tranquil night sky I’ve ever seen and asked my beautiful girl if she would do me the honor of being my wife, to which she thankfully replied yes.'

The beach spot has special meaning to the couple.

'Saturdays are special to us, because our first date was on a Saturday and we have celebrated with a toast, a visit to a beach, special date, a motorcycle adventure, or a road trip on every Saturday since,' the ABC favorite said.

'So on Saturday, we returned to the place of our first date and got engaged at the same place we shared our spontaneous and magical first date.'

The looker then added: 'We shared our desire to commit to one another for life by beginning that journey in a very intimate and private way, just the two of us, alone on the beach with a bonfire, a bottle of Aubert Chardonnay and the majestic Pacific ocean that has always been an integral force in both our lives.

“All alone on that beautiful beach, it was as if time stood still and we were the only two people on earth. I will never forget it. It was perfect,' she continued. 

The engagement ring by designer Jean Dousset is a large diamond with micro diamonds on the band and is set in white gold.

This comes after the star has been wearing a promise ring for months. In July she showed it off on Live! with Kelly Ripa.

The TV icon explained the ring was not an engagement ring but more of a promise ring as she stunned in a tight floral and black dress.

The ring came up when Ripa started talking about Inaba’s 'smokin’ hot fiance.'

That took the DWTS vet by surprise.

The ABC TV star quickly explained that they were not engaged but said: 'That’s the plan, though.'

The camera then flashed to Derringer as he stood in the wings wearing a black shirt and smiling.

The star also shared a photo on Instagram the day before where she gave a good look at the ring as she hugged her beau while crossing a busy Manhattan street. 

Robb has also appeared on General Hospital, All My Children, Melrose Place, The Lake, Eyes and Beverly Hills, 90210. 

The ABC dance queen was last engaged to Jess Sloan.

He proposed when she was appearing on Live With Regis And Kelly in 2011 and she accepted. She later broke off the engagement. 

Ripa also told Inaba, 'We love having you here, and welcome back.' Kelly has been trying out guests hosts as her last partner, Michael Strahan, left to work on Good Morning America.

The two ladies then talked about the shootings in Dallas.

Ripa said she her Friday show was taped so she was not able to address the tragedy then.

The blonde beauty asks members of her audience to look around and realize that everyone is '99.999 percent good.'

Inaba then gave Ripa credit for bringing so much 'joy' each morning amid times of tragedy.

She said, 'That’s what this is all about. The mornings here are all about remembering that we all love each other, we have fun, and it’s okay, and let’s all be uplifting and loving.'
