They have been dating for less than a year with a baby on the way.

And leaked video footage, taken from last year's X Factor final, may have pinpointed the moment Cheryl and beau Liam Payne fell for each other.

Cheryl - then a judge on the hit ITV show - is seen wearing a red dress and touching Liam on the arm, while the One Direction star briefly rests his hand on her waist.

The pair briefly dance together to Jason Derulo track Talk Dirty To Me before Liam walks away, with the ex-Girls Aloud star grinning broadly.

The video shows Cheryl in a stunning floor-length red dress while Liam is more casual in a beige shirt and trousers.

He had joined One Direction for a last performance at the Wembley X Factor final before the band's hiatus.

Previous footage of the pair embracing during a commercial break on the show also fuelled rumours of a romance.

Interestingly, the video was shot just two months before the couple went public with their relationship, with Cheryl filing for divorce from husband Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini in January after just 18 months of marriage.

Liam then appeared to confirm their romance at the end of February when he posted snapshots of the pair lying down together on his Instagram account, while changing his profile bio to say, 'Happy.'

Despite Cheryl showing off what appeared to be a visible baby bump during an outing with Liam to a Christmas carol concert last month, the couple have so far kept mum about her pregnancy.

Cheryl - who was previously married to to Ashley Cole - first met Liam when the hunk auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 when he was just 14.

And theirs will be the second One Direction baby following Liam's bandmate Louis Tomlinson having son Freddie with Los Angeles-based stylist Briana Jungwirth in January.
