But as Nicole Kidman prepares to relax with her family for the holidays the 49-year-old actress revealed to Ellen DeGeneres this week that she and husband Keith Urban choose not to spoil each other during the festive season.

'I'll kiss him!' the actress declared before adding that the musician is currently in Australia touring.

'We're flying to him tonight, we're his presents!' she added.

Nicole said her daughters Sunday, eight and Faith, five, want American Girl dolls for Christmas as well as candy and joked that they just 'want want want'.

To encourage her girls to give to those needier than them, the actress says she gets them to choose a cause to give money to.

Nicole looked amazing in a pink sweater and velour trousers as she appeared on the show which airs on Wednesday.

The star was spotted arriving at LAX with her two daughters on Tuesday night, ready to board a flight to Sydney to see her country musician husband.

In an interview with KIIS FM Sophie Monk and Matty Action, Keith, 49, told of his family plans for the holidays.

Nicole's Grammy-winner husband revealed what he and his loved ones will do come Christmas day.

'We go to the beach for Chrissy, that is what I know to do. Christmas Eve we will get around the piano and bang out some carols,' he said.

On Wednesday Nicole was nominated for a SAG Award for her supporting role in Lion alongside Dev Patel.

She has also been nominated for a Golden Globe for playing Sue Brierley, an Australian woman who adopts a boy from India (Patel).
