Steamy! Ariana Grande gets close to real-life beau Mac Miller in his newly released music video for My Favorite Part

Sometimes when you drop your groceries in the rain and a handsome neighbor comes to your rescue, you can't help but fall in love.

That's what happened for Ariana Grande and new boyfriend Mac Miller on set and in real life.

The lovers and self-proclaimed best friends starred in the music video for My Favorite Part, released Monday, from Mac's fourth album, The Divine Feminine.

New beaus: Real-life lovers Mac Miller and Ariana Grande star in the music video for My Favorite Part, released Monday, from Mac's fourth album, The Divine Feminine

Just before his new album dropped in September, Mac told People magazine about how their relationship naturally progressed over time.

'We hung out for a long time and everything just happened organically,' he said.

'We made that song and started becoming close again. It’s very dope and I like how that worked out.'

Lusty neighbors: The characters in the video are lustful neighbors, fantasizing about each other from behind their respective sides of a shared wall

The video starts by showing Ariana pulling up to her apartment in the rain and having trouble getting in the door with her arms full of groceries.

Mac comes to her aid as she drops the bag and after some suggestive glances she is quickly on her way.

Longing for love: Ariana and Mac lay there dreaming of each other in the video

Then the video briefly pulls style inspiration from silent films of days gone by, letting us know what's going on through full-screen title cards showing the lovers' dialogue.

After Ariana's character thanks Mac's character for his help one more time, he tells his beautiful neighbor, 'Anytime, you know where I live if you need me...' as the two enter their side-by-side apartments.

So close, but so far: The two characters are right next door but seemingly worlds apart

And then things gets steamy from there as the two would-be lovers lust over each other from behind their respective sides of their adjoining wall.

Mac wrote the song before he reconnected with his now-leading lady, after having previously worked together on her single, The Way, from her debut studio album in 2013.

'We love making music together – we do that always,' he explained. 'But she’s my best friend in the world.'

Getting steamy: A fantasy sequence shows the two characters side by side, groping each other's faces

'She’s just very warm and comforting,' Mac added. 'She’s very caring but, also, we have a lot of fun. We go on adventures. Adventures can be driving around in the car aimlessly. It’s great to be able to do nothing and be doing so much.'

The feeling is definitely mutual. Ariana posted a sweet tribute proclaiming her love to her new man on Instagram Monday.

The singer wrote: #MyFavoritePartVideo [flatscreen tv emoji] That time I dropped my groceries, had a bowl of Cheerios, fell in love w my neighbor through the wall telepathically and it rained in my apartment. I love you @larryfisherman. We made another cool duet and i like your singing voice. [heart emoji]'
