A look inside: following her residency at last year's Manchester International Festival, FKA Twigs has released a steamy new film of her performance piece, Soundtrack 7

The video comprises seven routines set to seven songs, which were all filmed during her artistic residency at the Old Granada Studios last summer.

The 35-minute-long film comprises dance pieces which Twigs - Tahliah Debrett Barnett - created during the week long residency in 2015.

Stripping down to just a white bra and a pair of khaki hot pants, the singer can't help but flaunt her washboard abs and lithe dancer's legs as she performs a series of routines to her own music.

The emotive pieces see the Cheltenham-born star pushing herself and her backing dancers to the creative and physical limits as she takes to the stage.

With her tangle of black curls left loose and wearing a minimal pallette of make-up, the singer's minimal focus on her appearance (in-tune with her clothing) helps to highlight Twig's focus on the actual choreography.

Soundtrack 7 is described  by Rolling Stone as an 'abstract autobiographical piece' which is split into seven section.

Each set to a different song from her discography, the seven sections are taken from each day of her residence.

The music includes her recent offering Good to Love, Ultraviolet, Closer and a new song, believed to be called What I Wanna.

Soundtrack 7 premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in August and became available to stream in the UK in November.
