The impasse threatened to stall production on the multi-Emmy nominated dramedy, or possibly cause it to drop her or even cancel it altogether.

But on Wednesday, Deadline reported that Warner Bros have agreed to pay her the same as her on-screen dad.

'Playing Fiona Gallagher has been one of the great privileges of my life,' she tweeted. 'I'm so happy to continue w my SHAMELESS family!Back to work in May!'

'She works as hard as I do. She deserves everything,' he said, adding that the only thing he had over her was 'I'm better looking'.
