Jennifer Lawrence shared a picture of herself peeing behind her oblivious mother on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old provided the exposition as James Corden showed the Late Late Show audience - which included her parents - a 'beautiful' picture of the mother and daughter.

In the unassuming shot, mum Karen sits in a garden cosy under a blanket with a glass of wine in hand, while her daughter smiles sweetly crouched behind her.

'I was actually peeing in that photo,' she abruptly announced as the crowd admired it. 'And she has no idea. No clue.

'I went to pee and my friend got the phone because she knew I was peeing and then we both decided to leave my mom out of it,' she explained.

'That's a very relaxed peeing face,' the host remarked.

'Yeah, I know how to do it, I've done it a lot,' she shrugged.

Nevertheless, the Passengers star insisted during the show that she is 'no fun' at parties.

'I get really overwhelmed by the amount of people, then I find two people and I imprison them and I trap them and I'm like ''It's you and me'',' explained the Oscar winner.

'One year for the Oscars, I think it was the American Hustle year, I juice cleansed and then got really, really wasted,' she admitted.

'And I was like ''take me home Ellen'',' she said.
