Bruno Mars was the latest celebrity to sing Carpool Karaoke with James Corden on Tuesday night.

The pair teamed up for a spirited sing-a-long medley to Mars' hits, including 24k Magic, Grenade, Locked Out of Heaven, plus Jailhouse Rock by Elvis.

'Every time I've met you, you seem like you're in a great mood,' the British talk show host told Mars.

Finally: Fans were delighted to watch Bruno Mars's Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show

'What's not to love?' asked Mars, who was wearing a silky, heavily patterned two-piece with gold medallions, shades and a white baseball cap.

'I've got to say if I was wearing that level of silk I think that I would be happy as well,' remarked Corden, 38.

'If I could dress like that all day every day I'd just be over the moon,' he continued, as 31-year-old Mars grinned: 'I bet you can.'

'No chance, if I wore that I'd look like I was having a breakdown,' replied Corden who then leaned in to touch Mars' eccentric outfit. 'It's a breathable fabric,' he said admiringly.

'Yeah, don't you want that on your skin?' asked Mars, before Corden later donned a pink and blue version of his outfit.

'I've never felt more alive,' the talk show host joked, as the singing sensation smiled: 'I told you!'

They also discussed Mars' penchant for hats and tried on a few outlandish examples.

'It's because of this hair, I don't know what to do with it,' said Mars.

'I just feel like this guy who's constantly waiting for his Tinder date,' said Corden as he donned a gold, sequined cap.

Mars said that impersonating Elvis at age four was when he first realised he wanted to be a performer.

After singing Versace On The Floor they joked that they should make a remix called 'Spanx on the floor' for larger people.

'That song teaches me that you and I are very different in bed, if I start bringing out those sort of shoulder moves I'd be living on my own, with a roommate, above a gas station,' said Corden.

'Also, no woman that I'm dating is wearing Versace,' he added.

Mars said his rider for his dressing room included 'booze, water and wet wipes'.

'If I'm going home with a bottle of wine and wet wipes that's a tragic evening for me,' remarked Corden.

'That's my next album… wine and wet wipes… pop the cork and wipe down,' they giggled before launching into Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk.
