'I've got bruises... he's not a professional!' Oti Mabuse reveals Danny Mac can be clumsy in rehearsal... but gushes that he gives the competition 'everything he has'

She and partner Danny Mac scored a place in the Strictly final on Saturday after consistently dazzling on the dance floor.

But Oti Mabuse has revealed the Hollyoaks hunk can be slightly clumsy in rehearsal, despite his impeccable dance talents and 'hard-work' prior to the live show.

Speaking to Reveal, the 25-year-old professional dancer admits she has lots of bruises on her feet from his mistakes during rehearsals - but that she is not fazed by the injuries because he gives the competition 'everything he has'.

Embarking on a sizzling shoot for the mag, the South African beauty showcased her incredibly toned figure in a skimpy red leotard and matching heels. 

Sporting nothing but the one-piece, the star's enviably long legs and glowing skin took centre stage in the shot - although she did admit that she was laden with a few bruises over her feet.

Laughing about her Strictly partner Danny, 28, she admitted he had left her with a few marks in rehearsal, joking: 'Yeah, I mean… he’s not a professional!'

'He makes mistakes and it’s nothing he’s doing intentionally – he’s not beating me or anything like that! It happens with all the pros, male and female.'

Explaining that she would rather suffer a few mishaps in rehearsal in order to challenge the budding dancer to his full potential, she added: 'Most of us have bruises but it’s part of the gig and we have to take risks with the choreographies – it’s the price we pay.' 

Oti and Danny have wowed their way to a place in the big Strictly final, with the British actor showcasing one of the highest levels of talent ever seen on the show by performing seamless routines week-on-week.

He even became the first contestant in Strictly history to receive a perfect 40 for the notoriously difficult Samba - which he will be recreating in fight for the glitter ball on Saturday night. 

Having appeared on the beloved BBC show for the first time this year, after a stint on the German version, the Latin and Ballroom star continued that she could not be happier with her sidekick - because of his impressive skill, but also his dedication.

She gushed: 'I've got further [than I have on the German series] because Danny works so hard. He gives everything he has and all his time goes into it.'

However she also acknowledges that the fact they get on so well has aided them in their progression, with their winning chemistry clear for viewers to see on the floor. 

Oti said of their relationship: 'We’re good friends now and we have lots in common. We’re always together – 10 hours of training a day – but hopefully we’ll finally go out together after the series ends, with my husband [Romanian dancer Marius] and Danny’s girlfriend [ex-Hollyoaks actress, Carley Stenson].'

Despite showing off her sensational Latin and Ballroom skill on the show, the star also revealed that she has many strings to her bow - speaking fluent German and having studied at university to be an engineer.

Proving she is a woman of many talents, she explained: 'I’ve been dancing since I was four but, growing up in Pretoria, South Africa, my mum always pressed on the issue of education for women. 

Beofre continuing: 'I have a degree in civil engineering. I wanted something to fall back on in case anything happened to my arms or legs and I couldn’t dance again.'

With dancing her main love however, Oti has hit the big time with partner Danny - who has helped her land a place in the final on Saturday night. 

The dynamic duo will be competing for the coveted glitter ball against sports broadcaster Ore Oduba, and former Eternal singer Louise Redknapp.

All three couples havescored tens over the last few weeks, making it arguably one of the closest series' since it began in 2004.

However the dancer confessed that she and Danny are trying not to think about winning - instead wanting to focus on enjoying their last dances together and performing them to their best ability. 

She said: 'Honestly, we don’t think about it. It’s so hectic, the only thing you think about is getting through the week. 

'The plan for us right now is to get the dances right then think about it when – or if - it happens. But it’s not up to us, it’s up to those who vote at home – so please get voting!'
