Brotherly love! Liam and Luke Hemsworth hang out beachside ... after speculation the Hunger Games star is buying a house in Byron Bay with fiancee Miley Cyrus

They are the Australian brothers taking Hollywood by storm.

But despite the family's enormous fame, the Hemsworth boys remain down-to-earth enough to enjoy the simple things in life.

In an Instagram photo on Wednesday, Luke Hemsworth, 36, and Liam Hemsworth, 26 are pictured spending a sunny afternoon drinking beer on the beach with their friends.

'This was a fun day': On Wednesday Liam Hemsworth shared a selfie of him and brother Luke Hemsworth relaxing together on the beach

In the impromptu snap, Liam smiles as he holds up the camera, showing off his dark beard and tousled hair.

Behind him is a stunning panoramic shot of a beach at sunset.

His older brother grins cheekily at the camera, as friends walk along the beach with them.

Both actors are dressed casually in grey t-shirts.

Close: The brothers make no secret of their close bond, frequently being photographed with each other at events

'This was a fun day,' Liam captions the photo.

It appears highly likely that the photo was taken in Byron Bay, as a male companion is seen holding a bottle of Stone and Wood Ale - a beer brewed exclusively in the Australian beach destination.

The hippy hub is a favourite destination of the Hemsworths, with middle brother Chris owning a house with wife Elsa Pataky there.

Terrific trio: Chris Hemsworth first found success acting in Hollywood, with a screen grabbing role in Star Trek

Supportive: Luke and Liam last year turned out to support Chris' movie Vacation at its LA premiere

Last week, reports surfaced that Liam and his fiancee Miley Cyrus were also eyeing up a $4.5 million property there.

The couple are said to be interested in a palatial 12,500 square metre property in Broken Head, The Gold Coast Bulletin reported last Friday.

If the loved-up pair decide to put down roots near the idyllic northern NSW beach town, they will be neighbours with Chris' family, who live adjoining the place for sale.

Making his mark too: After acting in Australia for years, Luke this year found success in the United States with a role on hit HBO show Westworld

The highly-successful brothers have made no secret of their close family bond in the past.

In a joint interview in March with #Legend magazine, Liam revealed he starting acting because he wanted to emulate his brothers.

The Last Song actor also said the way his family raised them help keep him and his brothers grounded.

'I think that our whole family...that we have such great parents who brought us up with such good values,' The Hunger Games star said.

'I have always looked up to my older brothers. Yeah, we are really close friends.'
