Emma Stone dazzles in a chic floral blouse at La La Land reception in London... as the film receives its first snub in SAG awards

After being tipped for multiple gongs, the La La Land cast were no doubt shocked to see it had been been left out of the top film category in the Screen Actors Guild nominations.

But leading lady Emma Stone - who herself received a Best Actress nod - seemed to put the snub behind her as she attended a reception in honour of the film at The Arts Club in London on Wednesday.

Looking effortlessly chic, the 28-year-old actress donned a printed baby blue blouse that flattered her porcelain complexion.

Leading lady: Emma Stone attended a reception in honour of her new film La La Land at The Arts Club in London on Wednesday - after the film was snubbed at the SAG Awards

She teamed the garment with cropped black trousers, whilst she added some height in a pair of patent black heels.

Leaving her auburn locks loose and tousled, she styled her glossy tresses in a side parting that framed her pretty features.

Beaming broadly, she seemed in high spirits as she mingled with the guests, which included the likes of Samantha Barks, Poppy Jamie and Lady Amelia Windsor.

The event was thrown in honour of La La Land just hours after it was snubbed by the SAG Awards.

Captain Fantastic, Fences, Hidden Figures Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight all received nods for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, but the musical didn't make the grade.

However, Emma and her co-star Ryan Gosling did earn nods in the Best Actor female and male categories.

Three of a kind: Justin Hurwitz and Damien Chazelle also posed for snaps with Emma

The Easy A star also earned herself a Golden Globe Best Actress nomination for her role in the musical.

Emma's double nomination should be a welcome boost as she looks ahead to the forthcoming Academy Award nominations and a reasonable chance at winning her first Oscar.

La La Land picked up nods in almost all major film categories outside the Drama nominees as the Golden Globe nominations were read out earlier this week.

Brunette beauty: Samantha Barks looked effortlessly chic in a black peplum top that she teamed with skinny jeans and ankle boots for the evening

Blonde bombshell: Poppy Jamie looked gorgeous in a sheer black lace adorned dress

The film picked up acting nominations for its leads Stone and Gosling in the Musical Or Comedy categories, as well as Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director for Damien Chazelle, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, and Best Song.

La La Land harks back to Tinseltown's golden era of big musicals. The story focuses on an actress and jazz musician who fall in love while struggling to make it.

The film goes on general release in the United Kingdom on January 13, 2017.
