Wilfried Bony in £8m dispute over lost earnings with former club Swansea
- He is suing former representative Francis Kacou over money taken in deals
- Wilfried Bony has alleged that Swansea City knew about the agreement
- Opening arguments in the case were held in Manchester on Tuesday this week
Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony is taking action against Swansea City and his former agent in a bid to recover up to £8million in lost earnings.
The 28-year-old, currently on loan at Stoke City, is suing his former representative Francis Kacou over money allegedly taken without the player's authorisation from his transfer from Vitesse Arnhem to Swansea in 2013 and his subsequent move to Manchester City in 2015. Bony also alleges that Swansea knew about the agreement.
Opening arguments were held in Manchester on Tuesday this week but the hearing was adjourned as the respective legal teams discuss where the case should be heard. Kacou, and a business associate Dalibor Lacina, have also asked for more time to gather evidence for their defence.

Swansea, who held a board meeting on Wednesday, dispute the allegations and have mutually agreed that their matter should be heard under arbitration.
Bizarrely, Kacou is standing for election to the Ivory Coast National Assembly this Sunday, December 18 which would mean he could claim political immunity from being called to court in the UK.
Kacou has also been in dispute with Bournemouth winger Max Gradel and former Arsenal and Sunderland defender Emmanuel Eboue who is serving a one-year suspension from football for failing to pay an agent.
Swansea paid £12million to Vitesse to sign Bony and he joined Manchester City for an initial £25m.

He is on a season loan at the Britannia Stadium but has a clause in his contract which allows him to be sold to a Chinese club in January.
A Swansea City spokesman said: 'This is a matter between Wilfried Bony and his former representatives.
'Unfortunately we have been drawn into the matter as we were involved in two of his transfers; firstly bringing him to the club and then his move to Manchester City.'
Sportsmail approached Bony's representatives but they declined to comment.
