She made a name for herself as a You Tube singer and appearing on American Idol in 2010.

But now, singer Tori Kelly is a full-fledged star in her own right and already a Grammy-nominated artist.

And it appears the 24-year-old's career could sky-rocket even further with talk of a collaboration with One Direction singer Niall Horan.

When speaking to Who Magazine while in Australia recently, the blonde beauty admitted she's keen.

'I would love to,' Tori confirmed, adding: 'His new stuff coming out is great. I'm really proud of him'.

'And we are label buddies now, so you never know,' she hinted.

It seems the admiration is mutual, with Niall tweeting about the singer's Rihanna cover on You Tube, back in 2012.

The performer, who is now back in the States, visited Australia last month to promote her new animated movie, Sing.

The Golden Globe nominated film follows a range of animals who take part in an American Idol style televised singing competition.

With a premise close to reality for Tori, it's no surprise she's a part of the film - playing the role of Meena, a shy elephant with a big voice.

And the blonde beauty admits to the publication that while she never expected an opportunity like this to come her way, she's always wanted to voice a character in a movie.
